The following incidents were reported to Ellsworth Police Department April 28 through May 4, 2025.

Monday, April 28

  • At 1:59 a.m., police received a report of an unwanted subject at 454 High Point Drive. The parties were separated for the night.
  • At 9:46 a.m., a caller reported a dog running loose near the Pierce County Fairgrounds (364 N. Maple St.) The owner picked up the dog.
  • Officers assisted with a student medical call at 11:03 a.m. at Ellsworth High School (232 W. Hillcrest St.)
  • Officers responded to a custody dispute at 11:16 a.m. at Ellsworth Elementary School (445 S. Piety St.) A father said he’d received no word from his ex that he couldn’t pick up their child. She had called the police prior to the incident.
  • Joshua Jason Reeverts, 28, Beldenville, was arrested for a probation violation at 12:47 p.m. at 310 W. Main St.
  • At 2:11 p.m., an employer requested a welfare check on an employee who didn’t show up for work. The employee was home asleep at 438 W. Church St.
  • Officers stood by for a property exchange at 8:28 p.m. at 136 N. Beulah St.
  • Jesse Michael Torgerson, 34, Ellsworth, was cited for expired registration after a traffic stop at 10:46 p.m. at Industrial Road and Maple Street.

Tuesday, April 29

  • At 5:52 p.m., police received a report of a fraudulent $100 bill used at Family Dollar (181 E. Main St.) A man was trespassed from the store.
  • At 7:15 p.m., library employees reported a man who had been released from jail walked to the library (388 W. Main St.) Officers gave him a ride to Red Wing to catch a taxi.

 

Wednesday, April 30

  • Nicole Marie Whipple, 37, River Falls, was arrested for a probation hold at 2:58 p.m. at 310 W. Main St.
  • Officers conducted a welfare check at 4:26 p.m. at 136 N. Beulah St. Everything was fine.

 

Thursday, May 1

  • At 2:45 a.m., police were notified of a suspicious person digging through cigarette butts at the courthouse (414 W. Main St.) They were not located.
  • A wallet was reported stolen from a vehicle at 7:15 a.m. at 169 Evergreen Estates St.
  • Police conducted a welfare check at 8:38 a.m. at 287 E. Summit Ave. The person was fine.
  • Money was reported stolen from a vehicle overnight at 8:47 a.m. at 550 W. Cairns St.
  • A FedEx vehicle became stuck in the mud at 11:16 a.m. at 170 N. Grant St. A tow was called.
  • At 9:26 p.m., an employee at Quinn Motors (405 W. Main St.) reported receiving harassing messages. The suspect was possibly driving a brown car with Missouri plates. Extra patrol was requested.

 

Friday, May 2

  • At 4:28 a.m., police assisted with a transformer that blew at Highway 10 and 730th Street, Ellsworth.
  • Officers assisted EMS at 5:30 a.m. at 112 Evergreen Estates St.
  • Police assisted EMS with a person who fell at 5:31 a.m. at 271 E. Summit Ave. EMS transported a patient to the hospital.
  • Colton Lester Ryan, 25, Beldenville, was cited for operating while revoked and expired registration after a traffic stop at 10:09 a.m. at 314 N. Maple St.
  • Officers assisted Pierce County deputies in looking for a vehicle at 2:32 p.m. at N4926 County Road O, Ellsworth.
  • A junk vehicle noticed was left at 6:41 p.m. at 190 Evergreen Estates St. for a junk vehicle with three flat tires.

 

Saturday, May 3

  • At 1:39 a.m., a resident at 169 E. Susan St. was given until May 12 to remove a junk vehicle.
  • Heather Ann O’Leary, 55, Somerset, was arrested for a failure to appear warrant at 6:54 p.m. at 155 Evergreen Estates St.

 

Sunday, May 4

  • At 1:50 a.m., police checked on a vehicle pulled to the side of the road near 526 E. Railroad Ave. The driver had to use the bathroom. There were no signs of impairment.
  • At 2:56 a.m., a caller reported her boyfriend taking her vehicle at 663 E. Main St. without her consent. Austin Daniel Cieslak, 28, Ellsworth, was found and arrested for operating a vehicle without the owner’s consent.
  • A caller reported a bad smell coming from the Creamery (232 N. Wallace St.) at 5:15 a.m.
  • An employee at 335 W. Main St. was cited for selling THC wax to a minor at 12:59 p.m.
  • At 10:49 p.m., police received an anonymous complaint of people burning furniture at 232 S. Piety St. The resident had a small campfire and was cooking food.
