Ellsworth Police Department reports Feb. 10-16, 2025

The following incidents were reported to Ellsworth Police Department Feb. 10-16.
Monday, Feb. 10
Daniel Russell Schmitt, 31, Blaine, Minn., was cited for a winter parking violation at 2:17 a.m. at Plum and Church streets.
Trevor Scott Klemke, 29, Oregon, was cited for a winter parking violation at 2:22 a.m. at Plum and Church streets.
Bradley Michael Litwin, 37, Onalaska, was cited for a winter parking violation at 2:28 a.m. at Plum and Church streets.
At 9:14 a.m., police found a vehicle parked by the old drive-up window at Ellsworth Public Library (388 W. Main St.) The occupant, Clint Rusty Dahl, 34, Ellsworth, was arrested for a warrant and the vehicle was towed.
At 9:58 a.m., a student at Ellsworth High School (323 W. Hillcrest St.) was cited for possession of vape (second offense).
At 11:29 a.m., police were dispatched to a verbal argument over the sale of property and money at 178 S. Maple St. The woman agreed to leave for the night.
Wayne F. Nelson, 75, Ellsworth, was cited for operating motor vehicle without insurance after a traffic stop for failing to signal a turn at 1:22 p.m. at Beulah and Main streets.
Tuesday, Feb. 11
Police were dispatched to a business alarm at 8:19 a.m. at 463 E. Wall St. The building was secure.
Officers were asked to do a welfare check at 5:15 p.m. at 204 N. Northview St. The woman there had no issues.
At 6:13 p.m., police assisted Pierce County deputies in locating a driving complaint at Highway 65 and 770th Avenue, River Falls.
Wednesday, Feb. 12
Police were called to a minor two-vehicle crash at 12:11 p.m. at 420 E. Main St. between Sawyer Nash Russell Roed, 21, Ellsworth, and Gene Edison Bignell, 71, Ellsworth. Bignell was backing out of 227 N. Broadway St into an alleyway and struck the left front bumper of Roed’s vehicle.
Police assisted Pierce County Sheriff’s Office with a traffic stop at 8:54 p.m. at Maple Street and West Overlook Drive.
Police assisted PCSO with a traffic stop at 9 p.m. at Maple Street and Crosstown Road.
Thursday, Feb. 13
Matt’s Electric LLC, Ellsworth, was cited for a winter parking violation at 2:04 a.m. at Grant and Strickland streets.
Police assisted EMS with a person who had trouble breathing at 6:56 a.m. at 301 N. Maple St.
Officers assisted EMS at 9:37 a.m. at 304 E. Sunset Lane.
A long-hair, male grey cat was located at 10:09 a.m. at 133 Evergreen Estates St. It was taken to Pierce County Veterinary.
At 2 p.m., a student who parked at 323 W. Hillcrest St. reported finding damage to her vehicle, including her front passenger fender and passenger side mirror. There were no vehicles parked near hers with damage when police arrived.
An unwanted subject was reported at 2:09 p.m. at 107 County Road C.
At 4:13 p.m., police received a report of someone who entered the residence at 107 S. Wallace St. without permission.
Friday, Feb. 14
Bobby Joe Harvey, 34, Boyceville, was cited for a winter parking violation at 2:54 a.m. at Ida and Kinne streets.
Police assisted PCSO with a home alarm at 3:03 a.m. at N5319 County Road O, River Falls.
James Michael Waldvogel, 18, Ellsworth, was cited for a winter parking violation at 3:36 a.m. at Grant and Woodworth streets.
Matt’s Electric LLC, Ellsworth, was cited for a winter parking violation at 3:41 a.m. at Grant and Strickland streets.
At 5:07 a.m., a complainant reported hearing a loud bang outside of 819 Lucas Lane. Nothing was located.
Sarah Lynn Nelson, 36, Beldenville, struck a stop sign at 6:26 a.m. at Grant and Cairns streets.
At 4:53 p.m., a caller reported finding footprints on his property at 669 E. Main St. The caller believed someone had tried to get into his truck and camper. He said his neighbor believed it to be someone arrested the day before in a pursuit. There was no damage found.
Saturday, Feb. 15
Crystal Louise Woycik, 43, Ellsworth, was cited for a winter parking violation at 3:31 a.m. at 122 N. Chestnut St.
At 1:53 p.m., a man at 235 N. Maple St. reported being threatened by another man and ordered to return property by 6 p.m. that night. He said he didn’t have anything belonging to the suspect.
Sunday, Feb. 16
A resident informed police of a dog they’d found and taken in at 7:20 p.m. at 329 N. Grant St. They posted the dog’s photo on Facebook.
