The following incidents were reported to Ellsworth Police Department Feb. 3-9.

Monday, Feb. 3

  • At 8:15 a.m., police received a driving complaint of a truck with a tailgate falling off and blankets in the back. Shelly Marie Campeau, 47, River Falls, was cited for operate without a valid license. She told police she was hauling property for the passenger.
  • Police assisted EMS at 10:42 a.m. at 265 N. Broadway St.
  • Officers responded to a two-vehicle crash at 3:57 p.m. at Maple Street and Crest Lane. A vehicle driven by Emily Ann Trunkel, 22, Ellsworth, was unable to stop at the stop sign, slid through it and struck a vehicle driven by Amaya Riley Hicks, 18, Ellsworth.
  • Kevin Ray Farber, 56, St. Paul, was cited for improper angle parking at Wall and Broadway streets. The position of his vehicle made it impossible to pass.
  • At 10:04 p.m., a complainant reported loud exhaust on an idling vehicle for long periods of time at night at 358 W. Main St. The woman said she had permission to park there. She was warned for her vehicle noise.

 

Tuesday, Feb. 4

  • Brian Gerald Pieper, 54, Ellsworth, was cited for a winter parking violation at 2:31 a.m. at Crest Lane and Hill Street.
  • Christina Marie Papineau, 31, Spring Valley, was cited for a winter parking violation at 2:57 a.m. at Wall and Broadway streets.
  • Peggy Sue Emerson, 66, Ellsworth, was cited for a winter parking violation at 3:01 a.m. at Railroad Avenue and Wall Street.

Wednesday, Feb. 5

  • Officers assisted Pierce County Sheriff’s Office with a person who walked away from a traffic stop at 1:48 a.m. at 222 N. Broadway St.
  • Police responded to an accidental 911 call at 7:46 p.m. at 414 W. Overlook Drive. A woman asked that a guest be escorted from the home to avoid any further verbal arguments.

 

Thursday, Feb. 6

  • Cody Thomas Williams, 30, Ellsworth, was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct when police were called at 12:20 a.m. to 191 Evergreen Estates St.
  • Police were called at 9:11 a.m. to Ellsworth Middle School (312 Panther Drive) to investigate a report of sexual contact between two students.
  • Two Ellsworth High School students were cited for possession of vaping devices at 10:39 a.m. at 323 W. Hillcrest St.
  • At 12:48 p.m., police assisted Pierce County in obtaining property from a former employee at 252 S. Grant St.
  • At 4:43 p.m., a resident at 195 W. Grove St. reported an SUV parked in front of her house, with a man going door-t0-door looking for work. It was gone when police arrived.
  • Police assisted EMS with a person complaining of pain at 4:49 p.m. at 258 N. Beulah St.

 

Friday, Feb. 7

  • Officers were dispatched at 7:12 a.m. to Ellsworth Middle School (312 Panther Drive) to discuss a fight that had occurred the day before.
  • At 10:40 p.m., police were notified of a suspicious vehicle at 372 W. Main St. Police located the vehicle, followed it through town, but had no reason to stop it.
  • Police assisted Ellsworth Fire at 10:59 a.m. at 358 W. Main St.

 

Saturday, Feb. 8

  • At 2:09 a.m., police observed a suspicious vehicle parked at 456 W. Main St. It was unoccupied.
  • Police were called to an alarm at 10:20 a.m. at 463 E. Wall St. The building appeared to be secure.
  • At 11:58 a.m., police received a report of a blue van “driving wonky” at Wall and Main streets. Wonky tire tracks were observed, but the vehicle was nowhere in sight.
  • Officers assisted Pierce County deputies with an unwanted person at 7:21 p.m. at N5830 County Road BB.
  • At 9:04 p.m., police and fire personnel were called again to 358 W. Main St. for a gas smell. The complainant had landlord/tenant complaints. He was told to contact an attorney.
  • At 11:30 p.m., officers assisted Pierce County deputies in looking for a noise complaint at 610th Avenue and Highway 65.

 

Sunday, Feb. 9

  • David Michael Sterniske, 36, Bay City, was cited for non-registration of vehicle/auto after a traffic stop at 1:49 a.m. at County Road C and Business Way.
  • Donald Lawrence Blanchard, 42, Hastings, Minn., was cited for a winter parking violation at 2:32 a.m. at Bay and Main streets.
  • Eric Henry Young, 48, Ellsworth, was cited for a winter parking violation at 2:46 a.m. at Highland Drive and Grant Street.
  • Jacob Patrick Maher, 43, Ellsworth, was cited for a winter parking violation at 2:50 a.m. at Highland Drive and Grant Street.
  • At 5:39 p.m., tenants at 358 W. Main St. told police a restaurant owner was serving people in the building after she had been told not to due to a potential gas leak. It was not people being served food, but a church group that meets there.
  • Sean Zepeda Garcia, 26, Red Wing, Minn., was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 7:28 p.m. at Main and Maple streets.
