The following incidents were reported to Ellsworth Police Department Jan. 12-18, 2026.

Monday, Jan. 12

  • Officers assisted EMS at 10:57 a.m. at 258 N. Beulah St.
  • Matthew James Day, 32, Ellsworth, was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 1:37 p.m. in the 600 block of South Maple Street.
  • Officers assisted Pierce County Human Services with a mental health welfare check and safety plan at 2:48 p.m. at a home in the 500 block of Vincent Lane.
  • At 3:02 p.m., a resident reported someone had broken into her storage unit at 155 W. Susan St. It looked like someone had been digging through it but nothing was missing.

Tuesday, Jan. 13

  • Meco Business Development LLC, Hudson, was cited for a winter parking violation at 2:49 a.m. at 344 W. Main St.
  • Alivia Ann Larsen, 19, River Falls, was cited for a winter parking violation at 2:57 a.m. at 344 W. Main St.
  • Officers assisted county deputies with a warrant arrest at 10:37 a.m. at W3515 Highway 35, Maiden Rock.
  • Police assisted EMS at 11:56 a.m. at 157 E. Main St.
  • Officers assisted EMS at 3:03 p.m. at 412 W. Kinne St.
  • Police were dispatched to a sudden death at 3:31 p.m. at 399 S. Oak St.

 

Wednesday, Jan. 14

  • Kara Ann Varnado, 39, Ellsworth, was cited for a winter parking violation at 3:04 a.m. at 236 W. Main St.
  • At 1:02 p.m., police were informed of an alleged altercation that had taken place at a home in the 300 block of Utility Street, where a parent is alleged to have been offering juveniles weed and alcohol. CPS was informed.
  • Police conducted a welfare check at 4:03 p.m. on an apartment at 271 E. Summit Ave. where a buzzer was going off. The occupant was fine.
  • At 6:55 p.m., a caller reported a loose dog at Main and Grant streets. It was not located.

 

Thursday, Jan. 15

  • At 11:17 a.m., Ellsworth Middle School (312 Panther Drive) reported a juvenile had left school upset without wearing a jacket. They were located on Maple Street and given a ride home.
  • At 12:26 p.m., police responded to Pierce County Human Services (412 W. Kinne St.) for a mental health welfare check. They transported a person to River Falls Area Hospital voluntarily.
  • At 1:46 p.m., a caller reported the neighbor’s dog coming onto the property at 647 W. Main St. They had photos of the dog on their property from Dec. 29.
  • Officers responded to a juvenile complaint at 6:32 p.m. at a home in the 500 block of Mitchell Street.

 

Friday, Jan. 16

  • Teah Joy Wilkens, 27, Ellsworth, was cited for a winter parking violation at 3:10 a.m. at Campbell and Short streets.
  • At 6:18 p.m., an Ellsworth High School (323 W. Hillcrest St.) was cited for being truant 17 days.
  • Police responded to a one-vehicle slide-in at 11:13 p.m. at Hill and Northview streets. EMS transported the driver, Dennis Rees Griffiths, 83, Menomonie, to Red Wing Mayo Hospital for further evaluation.

 

Saturday, Jan. 17

  • Chad Andrew Stevenson, 35, Ellsworth, was cited for a winter parking violation at 2:35 a.m. at 321 S. Piety St.
  • Xicalhua Julian Quechulpa, 33, was cited for a winter parking violation at 2:43 a.m. at 358 S. Piety St.
  • Charles Thomas Roley, 65, Beldenville, was cited for a winter parking violation at 3:10 a.m. at 328 W. Main St.
  • Noah Neil Yanish, 26, Ellsworth, was cited for a winter parking violation at 3:22 a.m. at 455 E. Wall St.
  • A possible runaway was reported at 9:50 a.m. at a home in the 200 block of Kruger Lane. The juvenile was found and returned to their mother.

 

Sunday, Jan. 18

  • Cole Steven Woodland, 25, Ellsworth, was cited for a winter parking violation at 3:49 a.m. at 325 W. Main St.
  • Mary Megan O’Neill Flom, 39, Bay City, was cited for a winter parking violation at 3:57 a.m. at 440 E. Wall St.
  • At 6:03 p.m., a caller requested a welfare check on a man walking with a suitcase at Maple Street ad Crosstown Road. He was not located.
