The following incidents were reported to Ellsworth Police Department Jan. 19-26, 2026.
Monday, Jan. 19
Christ Donovan Christensen, 58, Prescott, was cited for a winter parking violation at 2:07 a.m. at 310 W. Grove St.
Kara Ann Varnado, 39, Ellsworth, was cited for a winter parking violation at 2:38 a.m. at 236 W. Main St.
Police received a suspicious vehicle complaint at 6:16 p.m. at 260 S. Chestnut St.
Tuesday, Jan. 20
Police responded to a business alarm at 5:16 a.m. at 455 E. Wall St. The cleaning staff forgot to shut off the alarm.
Kyle Hunter Doten, 30, Hager City, was arrested for a probation violation at 3:46 p.m. at 310 W. Main St. Police found a urine bottle in Doten’s jacket sleeve with a rubber band wrapped around a hand-warming pouch.
Wednesday, Jan. 21
At 8:40 a.m., an alarm sounded on a locked unoccupied room at 412 W. Kinne St.
Police helped school staff with an out-of-control juvenile at 10:32 a.m. at Ellsworth Middle School (312 Panther Drive). The child left with their mother.
Thursday, Jan. 22
Oliver Reyes Linhart, 18, Spring Valley, was cited for disorderly conduct at 10:30 a.m. at Ellsworth High School (323 W. Hillcrest St.)
At 3:08 p.m., a woman reported another woman against whom she has a restraining order injunction slowing down and revving her engine at her while she’s out on morning walks.
Friday, Jan. 23
At 7:41 a.m., a resident at 154 S. Grant St. reported not receiving an e-bike delivery FedEx said it dropped off at noon Jan. 13. FedEx determined the bike was never delivered.
Domenico Nicolai Newton, 26, Prescott, was arrested for a probation violation at 4:20 p.m. at 310 W. Main St.
Saturday, Jan. 24
Pheng Vang, 37, St. Paul, was cited for operate without a valid license after a traffic stop at 11:18 p.m. at Beulah and Main streets.
Sunday, Jan. 25
At 10:13 a.m., water was reported coming into the road at 102 E. Main St.
Police conducted a welfare check at 3:36 p.m. at a home in the 500 block of Vincent Lane on a woman who was suicidal. She was upset about recent political events.
Police responded at 11:28 p.m. to 258 N. Beulah St. for a person struggling to breathe. Life-saving measures were performed but the person died.
