Ellsworth Police Department reports: Jan. 26-Feb. 1, 2026

The following incidents were reported to Ellsworth Police Department Jan. 26-Feb. 1, 2026.
Monday, Jan. 26
Police were notified of a business alarm at 8:53 a.m. at 412 W. Kinne St. Staff had accidentally pulled the alarm.
At noon, officers assisted county deputies with a suspicious vehicle at 598 W. Lucas Lane. The occupants said they were smoking there due to apartment restrictions.
Police were called at 2 p.m. to Ellsworth Elementary (445 S. Piety St.) for an aggressive juvenile. The parent came to pick up the child.
Tuesday, Jan. 27
Police responded to a domestic at 12:30 a.m. at 191 Evergreen Estates St. Molly Diane Delander, 29, Ellsworth, was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and battery to law enforcement. Another suspect left before police arrived and was not located.
Police assisted State Patrol with a traffic stop at 10:57 a.m. at Oak and Main streets.
At 11:21 a.m., police were called to 403 N. Maple St. for a patient with banned substances. Police spoke to staff about the legality of the items and the patient about the violations.
Wednesday, Jan. 28
Police were notified of a disabled vehicle facing the wrong way at 7:50 a.m. at Main and Maple. The complainant said her power steering had gone out, and she was working to secure a tow. Melstrom’s transported the vehicle and driver to Ellsworth Ford.
Kaidra Britanny Godwin, 36, Ellsworth, was cited for contributing to truancy after her child was counted truant for 11 days at 11:54 a.m. at 323 W. Hillcrest St.
At 3:21 p.m., a caller reported a suspicious black Chrysler near Maple Street and Overlook Drive. It was not located.
Thursday, Jan. 29
Police were called at 8:57 a.m. to Ellsworth High School (323 W. Hillcrest St.) for banned substances. A citation was mailed.
At 10:03 a.m., while participating in an open Village of Ellsworth Zoom meeting, an identified subject made threatening comments.
A stray cat was located at 1:59 p.m. outside 412 W. Kinne St. It was brought to Pierce Veterinary Clinic, but it had no chip.
Friday, Jan. 30
Police were called at 1:03 a.m. to a possible person inside a residence at 463 E. Wall St. No one was found.
At 7:14 a.m., police assisted Pierce County with a single-vehicle crash at W7315 Highway 10, Ellsworth.
Police assisted Pierce County with a motor vehicle crash at 8:22 p.m. at 323 W. Hillcrest St.
Saturday, Jan. 31
Michael Matthew Petersen, 57, Ellsworth, was cited for a winter parking violation at 202 N. Northview St.
Betty A. Goodrich, 55, River Falls, was cited for a winter parking violation at 2:44 a.m. at 103 N. Northview St.
Andrew Joseph Kay, 49, Minneapolis, was cited for a winter parking violation at 2:54 a.m. at Grant Street and Hills Lane.
Daniel D. Sheldon, 57, Fremont, was cited for a winter parking violation at 3:58 a.m. at 463 E. Wall St.
Ann Lorraine Cernohous, 46, Woodville, was cited for a winter parking violation at 4:04 a.m. at 226 N. Broadway St.
Officers assisted EMS at 12:15 p.m. at 532 W. Main St.
At 4:36 p.m., police located two children, ages 7 and 8, walking along Highway 10 near 610 E. Main St. They were given a ride home and turned over to a parent.
Sunday, Feb. 1
Colton Paul Jurgensen, 36, Ellsworth, was cited for a winter parking violation at 2:58 a.m. at Grant and Grove streets.
Sailu So Kargbo, Indianapolis, Ind., was cited for a winter parking violation at 3:20 a.m. at Plum and Warner streets.
Betty A. Goodrich, 55, River Falls, was cited for a winter parking violation at 3:31 a.m. at Old West Main and Northview streets.
At 8:52 a.m., police checked on a suspicious vehicle not parked in a designated parking place at 157 E. Main St. The driver agreed to move.
Officers responded to a verbal argument at 11:12 a.m. at 171 W. Main St.
A home alarm went off at 12:18 p.m. at 625 S. Maple St. It was a false alarm.
Brianna Marie Kovacevich, 27, Eau Claire, was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 7:30 p.m. at Main Street and Pleasant Avenue.
Police were dispatched to a domestic at 11:59 p.m. at 173 S. Grant St. Both parties were intoxicated and a man didn’t want the woman to come home. They were told to remain civil and separate for the night.
