The following incidents were reported to Ellsworth Police Department June 16-22, 2025.

Monday, June 16

  • At 11:56 a.m., a Bay City resident reported to police that Hines Auction was selling illegal flares. Police investigated the matter and learned the flares are in fact legal to possess and sell in the state of Wisconsin. When the complainant was informed that he was trespassed from Hines Auction, he became combative and belligerent on the phone, telling police to do their job.
  • Police responded to an animal complaint at 12:46 p.m. at 271 E. Summit Ave.
  • At 12:58 p.m., a caller asked for help to get into an Evergreen Estates residence to feed their neighbors’ animals. They were advised to contact an locksmith.
  • At 1:26 p.m., a caller reported seeing two men running suspiciously away from something near 769 W. Cairns St. They were not located.
  • Police were informed of a loud boom at 3:19 p.m. near N4827 County Road C. It was a truck that backfired.

 

Tuesday, June 17

  • At 9:11 a.m., police assisted Pierce County deputies in searching for a vehicle involved in a Red Wing theft. It was located in Hager City.
  • Police responded to a juvenile complaint at 5:02 p.m. in the 400 block of West Warner Street. The juvenile admitted to shouting at a parent and agreed to stay calm after talking to police.
  • Officers assisted EMS at 6:01 p.m. at 149 S. Oak St.

 

Wednesday, June 18

  • At 4:23 p.m., police spoke to a man going door-to-door selling windows in the 700 block of South Piety Street. He had a valid village license.
  • At 5:40 p.m., police received a complaint of a man wearing all black knocking on doors near Piety and Warner streets. It was a man selling windows.

 

Thursday, June 19

  • Police assisted EMS at 10:23 a.m. at 530 W. Cairns St.
  • At 11:31 p.m., police assisted Pierce County deputies with someone who fell off a motorized bicycle going at a high rate of speed near 530th Street and 490th Police transported the e-bike to the sheriff’s office for safekeeping.

 

Friday, June 20

  • Police arrested Tejay Allen Skordahl, 41, homeless, for a probation violation at 310 W. Main St. He left the office when police walked in. They took him into custody in the parking lot.
  • At 3:34 p.m., a caller reported an unleashed dog defecating on the Pierce County Fairgrounds (364 N. Maple St.) The owner did not pick it up. They were not located.
  • Police checked on an occupied suspicious vehicle at 10:15 p.m. near 112 Evergreen Estates St. The occupant said he was staying with friends in the area.

 

Saturday, June 21

  • Officers assisted EMS at 6:51 a.m. at 1231 Mikel St.
  • Two deceased kittens were located at 12:30 p.m. at 115 N. Ida St.
  • Officers assisted EMS at 7:15 p.m. at 271 E. Summit Ave.
  • Police were dispatched to a business alarm at 9:40 p.m. at 157 E. Main St. It was cancelled when they arrived.

 

Sunday, June 22

  • Police arrested Johnathan R. Beying, 43, Hazel Green, for a Minnesota warrant during a traffic stop at 5:11 p.m. at W6886 490th
  • Officers were dispatched to a home alarm at 6:37 p.m. at 466 W. Nelson St. They were cancelled upon arrival.
