The following incidents were reported to Ellsworth Police Department March 10-23.
Monday, March 10
At 4:43 p.m., a complainant at 181 E. Main St. reported receiving threatening text messages from her ex-boyfriend. She wanted them documented.
Officers assisted EMS at 9:12 p.m. 370 S. Piety St.
Matthew Mark Brummer, 36, Ellsworth, was arrested for domestic battery and disorderly conduct at 10:53 p.m. at 1538 N. Maple St.
Tuesday, March 11
Police stood by at 3:45 p.m. for a property exchange at 3:45 p.m. at 1538 N. Maple St.
Officers checked on a suspicious woman in a van at 11:19 p.m. at 271 E. Summit Ave. She advised officers she would be spending the night there.
Wednesday, March 12
Police mailed a warning for unpermitted temporary structures/car ports at 8:16 a.m. at 1538 N. Maple St.
At 12:17 p.m., a caller reported someone sleeping in a van at 271 E. Summit Ave. They were told to contact management.
At 7:26 p.m., police saw a man on probation inside Danny Dunn’s (265 N. Broadway St.) Probation was contacted.
A suspicious van was reported at 7:32 p.m. at 271 E. Summit Ave. They were told to contact management.
A water line burst at 7:46 p.m. at 170 N. Grant. St. Public Works shut the water off.
Thursday, March 13
Officers assisted Pierce County deputies with a traffic stop at 4:31 a.m. at Maple Street and Bourbon Circle.
Allison Michelle Teske, 37, Ellsworth, was cited at 7:53 a.m. for repeated truancy of her child and not meeting homeschooling requirements.
Michael Lee Peterson, 47, Beldenville, was cited for parking in a handicapped parking spot without a permit at 9:57 a.m. at 323 W. Hillcrest St.
Aaron John Linder, 41, Ellsworth, was cited for parking in a handicapped spot without a permit at 10:05 a.m. at 323 W. Hillcrest St.
Matthew Carl Bowen, 48, Bay City, was cited for parking in a handicapped spot without a permit at 10:11 a.m. at 323 W. Hillcrest St.
At 10:35 a.m., a resident at 444 W. Overlook Drive reported a suspicious person who walked up to a house. No one was located.
A suspicious vehicle was reported at 5:21 p.m. at Maple and Grove streets. It was not located.
Friday, March 14
Police responded to a business alarm at 1:54 a.m. at 312 W. Industrial Road. All doors were locked.
Jeffery Alan Carr, 37, Ellsworth, was arrested for a probation warrant at 9:04 a.m. at 358 W. Main St. He accused police of giving off bad energy.
Jason Robert Triplett, 42, Ellsworth, was cited for his child’s continued truancy and lack of support in meeting homeschooling deadlines at 9:52 a.m. at 323 W. Hillcrest St.
Police were dispatched for an injured raccoon at 11:34 a.m. at Grant and Grove streets. It was relocated.
At 3:25 p.m., a complainant reported a loose dog on their front steps at Wall Street and Terrace Avenue. The dog was returned to its caretaker.
At 7:35 p.m., a man reported being confronted by his neighbor about his driving at Highland Drive and Hills Lane. The neighbor began arguing with him in his driveway. Separate neighbors called the argument in, which was brief.
Saturday, March 15
Police made contact with an intoxicated person at 12:23 a.m. at 325 W. Main St. Another patron escorted him home.
Officers were dispatched to a suspicious noise from a vacant apartment at 4:05 p.m. at 271 E. Summit Ave. They informed the property manager of the complaints.
Sunday, March 16
Logan Peter Melstrom, 24, Ellsworth, was arrested for OWI, operating with PAC and going armed with a firearm while intoxicated after a traffic stop for speeding and crossing the center line at 2:34 a.m. at Maple Street and Crosstown Road.
Officers removed a tree branch from the road at 8:48 a.m. at 625 S. Maple St.
A caller reported damage to their vehicle at 12:11 p.m. at 430 W. Nelson St. Police spoke to a neighbor, who denied damaging the vehicle.
Police responded to a verbal argument at 6:37 p.m. at 591 N. Maple St. No arrests were made.
At 7:28 p.m., a caller reported their neighbor’s cat wandering in the hall at 141 S. Maple St. She left information with the neighbor regarding animal welfare, which was not appreciated. They were told to stop communicating. The complainant called back and said the neighbor is having people bang on her door when she is not home. She said management does nothing about the problems. She was advised to consult an attorney or look up landlord/tenant rights.
Monday, March 17
A caller reported finding an open rear door at 9:42 a.m. at 470 S. Maple St. Police secured the residence.
At 1:46 p.m., a woman passed out in the parking lot at 181 E. Main St. EMS was called.
At 2:43 p.m., a caller at 404 High Point Drive reported lending Cody Nathaniel Hoyer, 37, Glenwood City, a vehicle, but he hadn’t returned it at 9:30 a.m. like he was supposed to. When he was located, police arrested him for a St. Croix County warrant.
Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at 4:18 p.m. at Piety Street and Humble Avenue between Christine Beverly Truttman, 66, Hager City, and Michael Isaiah Jablonsky, 17, Plum City.
At 11:56 p.m., a resident at a group home (140 W. Humble Ave.) claimed a worker was intoxicated.
Tuesday, March 18
Police were called at 5:30 a.m. to 246 N. Broadway St. for a subject having chest pains.
At 12:46 p.m., a complainant reported being screamed at by a woman at 157 E. Main St. The complainant had no idea what it was about.
A woman reported being harassed by an ex-boyfriend threatening her at 8:42 p.m. at 845 W. Main St. She was advised to block his numbers.
Wednesday, March 19
Officers assisted EMS with an intoxicated man at 7:51 a.m. at 107 N. Northview St. that needed to go to the hospital.
Kyndra Jade Clark, 18, Ellsworth, was cited for habitual truancy at 10:27 a.m. at 323 W. Hillcrest St.
At 10:51 a.m., a neighbor reported the front door at 401 Hillcrest St. standing open for several hours and a dog barking. Police secured the door.
Michael Lyle Girard, 59, Oneida, was cited for storage of junk and an unlicensed vehicle at 11:02 a.m. at 643 E. Main St.
Police were dispatched at 2:31 p.m. for a woman found not breathing at 421 W. Cairns St.
Officers were called to a suicidal person at 3:22 p.m. at 140 W. Humble Ave. A safety plan was put into place.
At 4:15 p.m., a resident at 304 E. Sunset Lane was warned for burning yard waste.
Thursday, March 20
At 2:17 a.m., a caller reported a suspicious vehicle honking its horn outside of 231 N. Bourbon Circle. Nicole B. Mischler, 31, River Falls, was arrested for OWI and transported to the jail.
At 12:36 p.m., a caller reported a male sitting on the curb crying at Chestnut and Warner streets. He wasn’t located.
Friday, March 21
Police responded to an alarm at 8:41 a.m. at 463 E. Wall St. A person living in the basement said he tripped the alarm going out the door.
Eric Thomas Sutera, 29, Chippewa Falls, was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign after a traffic stop at 3:08 p.m. at Grant Street and Summit Avenue.
Saturday, March 22
A juvenile was arrested for OWI, operating with PAC and released to their parents after a traffic stop for operating without headlights at 2:25 a.m. at 426 Railroad Ave. A juvenile passenger was cited for underage alcohol possession.
Paige Elaine Scharpen, 19, Bay City, was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 1:17 p.m. at Crosstown Road and Railroad Avenue.
At 8:16 p.m., a female Yellow Lab with a pink collar was found at 131 S. Bork St.
Officers assisted Pierce County deputies with a warrant arrest at 9:48 p.m. at Bay and Kinne streets.
Sunday, March 23
At 1:27 a.m., police found a vehicle with its driver’s door open at 463 E. Wall St. Nothing was missing or damaged.
Nicholas James Nimitz, 32, Ellsworth, was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 10:24 a.m. at 458 S. Maple St.
At 1:42 p.m., a homeowner at 155 W. Humble Ave. was warned for illegal burning.
Shawn Dell Helmueller, 59, Ellsworth, was cited for expired registration after a traffic stop at 2:17 p.m. at 130 N. Chestnut St.
