The following incidents were reported to Ellsworth Police Department March 2-8, 2026.

Monday, March 2

Officers assisted Pierce County deputies at 7:26 p.m. at N5981 745th St. They were unable to find who they were looking for.

Tuesday, March 3

  • Police received a report of a small dog running in the area at 10:18 a.m. at Beulah Street and Summit Avenue. Nothing was located.
  • Officers assisted county deputies with a driving complaint at 11:04 a.m. near Highway 65 and 650th Avenue, Beldenville. An elderly woman was warned for lane deviation.
  • At 4:52 p.m., police received a complaint of someone shooting a bow on the fairgrounds (364 N. Maple St.) The suspect said he only shot five and wouldn’t do it again. He packed up his things and left.
  • Isaac Edward Benck, 31, Plum City, was arrested for a warrant at 8:09 p.m. at 420 E. Main St.

Wednesday, March 4

  • David Jacob Kerr, 46, Ellsworth, was cited for a winter parking violation at 2:11 a.m. at 250 N. Grant St.
  • JoAnn Lynn Kuhl, 59, Ellsworth, was cited for a winter parking violation at 2:37 a.m. at 193 Kruger Lane.
  • Jason Eugene Janke, 55, Ellsworth, was cited for a winter parking violation at 565 W. Crest Lane.
  • Terry Allan Mattson, 66, Bay City, was cited for a winter parking violation at 3:01 a.m. at 405 W. Main St.
  • Officers assisted Pierce County deputies with a medical call at 2:40 p.m. at N5981 745th
  • At 3:10 p.m., a caller at 126 S. Chestnut St. reported a possible vehicle theft. The suspect had had permission to use the vehicle, but the complainant had not heard from them since Feb. 4. The complainant believed they might be in Maryland. The vehicle was returned later that day.
  • Police checked on a man sleeping in a vehicle at 3:46 p.m. at 252 N. Broadway St. He denied needing assistance.
  • Ashley Rose Plahn, 41, Ellsworth, was arrested for a failure to appear warrant at 8:15 p.m. at 639 S. Piety St.
  • Officers assisted EMS at 11:08 p.m. at 271 E. Summit Ave.

 

Thursday, March 5

  • Jacob Lawrence Virkus, 34, Ellsworth, was cited for a winter parking violation at 2:14 a.m. at Cope and Walnut streets.
  • Abigail Ann Matzek, 43, Ellsworth, was cited for a winter parking violation at 2:36 a.m. at Maple Street and Bourbon Circle.
  • Tony Robert Prissel, 63, Ellsworth, was cited for a winter parking violation at 2:43 a.m. at 310 W. Overlook Drive.
  • Police were dispatched to a home alarm at 9:33 a.m. at 181 N. Ida St. The dogs set it off.
  • Kari Lynn Preston, 45, Ellsworth, was arrested for a warrant at 1:59 p.m. at 258 N. Beulah St.
  • At 2:33 p.m., a woman called police worried that her devices at 621 S. Piety St. had been hacked and that the callers were asking for her banking information. She was advised it was a scam.
  • Police conducted a welfare check on an individual at 5:21 p.m. at 325 W. Main St. They did not need assistance.
  • At 8:43 p.m., police received a complaint of people using the water well at the cemetery (518 S. Piety St.) No one was located.

 

Friday, March 6

  • Dawn Marie McRoberts, 55, Hager City, was cited for a winter parking violation at 2:59 a.m. at Highland Drive and Hills Lane.
  • Jacob Patrick Maher, 44, Ellsworth, was cited for a winter parking violation at 3:05 a.m. at Grant Street and Hills Lane.
  • Brittany Christine Witzke, 47, Bay City, was cited for a winter parking violation at 3:10 a.m. at Brown Street and Overlook Drive.
  • Aiden Marlowe Murphy, 19, Ellsworth, was cited for a winter parking violation at 3:14 a.m. at Brown Street and Overlook Drive.
  • At 11:46 a.m., a complainant reported the neighbor’s black cat coming into her yard and garage at 655 W. Main St. The neighbor said the cat is a stray that she has been feeding.
  • At 1:24 p.m., police received a report of a fraudulent $650 check passed at Nilssens (157 E. Main St.) on March 4. The suspect has numerous convictions for the same offense and is on probation.
  • At 10:03 p.m., police were called to 106 Evergreen Estates St. for lights on and a vehicle in the driveway. No one answered the door.
  • At 11:32 p.m., officers spoke to a fraud victim at 501 W. Lucas Lane. A man had driven from Washington to Ellsworth to meet his online partner. He had also sent the person money over the past year and spoken to her allegedly over text messages. He believed she was being held against her will in Ellsworth.

 

Saturday, March 7

  • Shannon Marie Haines, 56, Bay City, was arrested for OWI after a traffic stop for crossing the center line at 1:18 am. at 610th Street and Highway 10.
  • At 5:14 p.m., officers checked 639 S. Piety St. for River Falls police for a wanted person. She was located at Pierce County Jail.

 

Sunday, March 8

  • Officers assisted EMS at 12:54 a.m. at 543 N. Alexander Ave.
  • Police responded to a minor two-vehicle crash at 2:09 p.m. at 456 W. Main St. between Jeffrey Jon Borst, 60, Ellsworth, and Justin Jerome Cable, 36, Ellsworth. One vehicle rear-ended another. Neither party wanted a report filed.
  • At 3:05 p.m., police were summoned to a home in the 500 block of North Maple Street for a missing child. Officers located the child and brought him home. The mother said he had been playing with other children but wandered off. He was missing for 10 minutes. She was given information on Project Lifesaver.
