Ellsworth Police Department reports: March 3-8, 2025

The following incidents were reported to Ellsworth Police Department March 3-8.
Monday, March 3
At 9:17 a.m., police assisted EMS with a woman who felt weak and fell in front of 157 E. Main St.
Police assisted EMS with a person with hip pain at 9:28 a.m. at 787 W. Lucas Lane. EMS transported them to the hospital.
Police assisted Wisconsin State Patrol with a traffic stop at 7:31 p.m. at N4306 Highway 63, Ellsworth.
Tuesday, March 4
At 2:05 a.m., police saw someone take a box from the Food Pantry (314 N. Maple St.) They were told it was an emergency food crate.
At 3:32 a.m., a dead raccoon was reported lying in the Nilssen’s parking (157 E. Main St.) It was relocated to the wood line.
At 1:46 p.m., a caller reported a raccoon on the hillside at 137 E. Main St.
At 2:43 p.m., police received a report of a child taking numerous pills at an address in the 300 block of West Main Street. The child denied doing so. The parent didn’t find any pills missing and said they would keep an eye on things.
At 4:22 p.m., a caller at an address in the 500 block of West Cairns Street reported receiving a phone call stating that he had registration fees due on his vehicle and that his vehicle would be towed if they weren’t paid. It was a scam.
Police assisted Pierce County with a crash at 8:24 p.m. at 610th Avenue and Highway 65.
At 10:45 p.m., police assisted in pushing a truck out of a parking lot at 185 E. Main St.
At 11:25 p.m., a semi became stuck in front of 388 W. Main St. They were able to get going.
Officers assisted EMS at 11:31 p.m. at 246 N. Broadway St.
Wednesday, March 5
At 12:20 a.m., police closed the road temporarily for a stuck semi at Highway 10 and Hill Street.
Police assisted Pierce County with a crash at 1:11 a.m. at Highway 65 and County Road J, Beldenville. There were no injuries.
Officers provided aid to someone who was stuck at 6:38 a.m. at Maple and South streets.
Police assisted with a stuck vehicle at 6:47 a.m. at Maple Street and High Point Drive.
A water leak from a top floor unit was reported at 9:01 p.m. at 305 W. Main St. The building maintenance was notified.
Police helped a woman remove her vehicle at 9:46 p.m. at 232 W. Strickland St.
Thursday, March 6
At 1:11 a.m., a man at 271 E. Summit Ave. reported a noise coming from a vacant apartment. Nothing was found.
Police were notified of a two-vehicle crash at 4:01 p.m. at 270 N. Maple St. between William Edward Hutter, 71, Ellsworth, and Barbara Adrianne Bauer, 83, Ellsworth.
Friday, March 7
At 12:46 p.m., a caller reported a grey, short-haired cat hanging around 621 W. Cairns St. The cat was transported to the River Bluff Humane Society.
Police were called to an employee issue at 1:13 p.m. at 187 E. Main St.
At 5:04 p.m., police received a call from a woman accusing her ex of following her after a custody court hearing at 414 W. Main St. The complainant didn’t call back.
Saturday, March 8
Police assisted staff at the jail with a disorderly subject at 12:12 a.m.
At 7:15 a.m., a complainant at 217 S. Plum St. complained of receiving continuous harassing phone calls and messages. She was advised to keep the caller blocked. The suspect said the complainant calls and texts him every day. She admitted to sending the suspect Scripture since she is religious. She was advised to keep the suspect blocked and to refrain from sending him anything.
Police received an animal complaint at 9:31 a.m. at 209 S. Chestnut St.
Officers assisted EMS at 1:46 p.m. at 454 High Point Drive.
Kenneth L. Wilson, 74, Ellsworth, was arrested for OWI-first after a traffic stop at 7:19 p.m. at 181 N. Ida St.
