The following incidents were reported to Ellsworth Police Department Nov. 24-30, 2025.
Monday, Nov. 24
At 12:26 p.m., a caller reported a suspicious person sitting on the side of the road near 738 S. Piety St. The person was waiting for a neighbor.
At 3:06 p.m., a caller at 278 E. Summit Ave. reported being scammed out of money by someone calling requesting bond money to get their son out of jail.
Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at 5:06 p.m. at Main and Plum streets between Thomas James Peterson, 60, Ellsworth, and Jordan Joseph Thomas, 36, Ellsworth.
Tuesday, Nov. 25
Officers assisted EMS at 11:34 a.m. with someone who fell in the parking lot at 403 N. Maple St.
Police stood by at 11:40 a.m. at Ellsworth High School (323 W. Hillcrest St.) while county deputies gathered information from a crash that occurred at 410th Avenue and 610th
A suspicious person was reported at 2:19 p.m. at 184 E. Main St. It was a survey crew working.
Officers assisted Pierce County deputies with a vehicle fire at 11:50 p.m. at W8494 560th, Ellsworth.
Wednesday, Nov. 26
At 12:27 a.m., police gave a caller information after his dog attacked another of his dogs at 378 W. Overlook Drive.
A building owner was notified of falling bricks at 4:59 a.m. at Chestnut and Main streets.
Marshall Ellery James Grotto, 34, Ellsworth, was cited for parking in a tenant only parking stall at 11:11 a.m. at 344 W. Main St.
At 4:23 p.m., police arrested Terri Lee Casello, 33, Elmwood, and Blake Donald Field, 33, Ellsworth, for felony bail jumping at 141 Evergreen Estates St.
At 10:56 p.m., police were notified of a subject sitting in a running vehicle in a cul-de-sac near the end of Crest Lane for about an hour. A woman said she was doing nothing wrong, then abruptly drove away.
Thursday, Nov. 27
Police assisted EMS at 12:24 p.m. at 553 Alexander Ave.
Officers checked on a person having roommate issues at 4:44 p.m. at 454 High Point Drive. She appeared to be having a panic attack, but calmed down after taking medication.
Friday, Nov. 28
At 9:44 a.m., a resident at 274 E. Main St. reported capturing video of his neighbor’s dog on his property the night before. The dog can be seen going onto the porch and eating food. The complainant said the dog was then hit by a car but didn’t appear to be hurt. Police contacted the suspected owner, who claimed it wasn’t his dog.
Officers assisted Pierce County deputies with an OWI-related crash and domestic at 7:27 p.m. near 890th Avenue and 330th Street, Spring Valley, in which the suspect fled on foot.
Saturday, Nov. 29
Ted Lee Stabenow, 49, Menomonie, was arrested for OWI after a traffic stop for speeding at 1:04 a.m. at highways 10 ad 63.
At 3:12 p.m., a caller reported a vehicle circling their home at 996 Hilden Drive. Police located the suspect vehicle, who refused to leave the area.
Police responded to a juvenile issue at 4:08 p.m. at a home in the 500 block of Mitchell Street. The juvenile left to go with family for the night.
Sunday, Nov. 30
Police checked on someone sleeping in a vehicle at 3:10 a.m. at 610 E. Main St. The driver said he was resting before heading to La Crosse.
Officers were dispatched to a vehicle stuck in the roadway at 4:31 a.m. at Highland Drive and Grant Street. The vehicle was towed to the owner’s house.
Police assisted fire department personnel at 10:14 a.m. at 409 S. Maple St. where a lawnmower had started on fire in a garage. The lawnmower was removed from the building but continued to smolder.
At 5:52 p.m., a caller reported their neighbor’s house door open at 226 S. Grant St. The wind most likely blew it open. No one was inside.
At 8:01 p.m., possible vandalism was reported at 388 W. Main St. The caller wanted police to contact the possible suspect to leave him alone and he said he would take care of the mess. There was no damage.
Police responded to a juvenile 911 call at 8:30 p.m. at a home in the 500 block of Mitchell Street. The parent needed no further assistance.
A garage was found open at 9:32 p.m. at 973 Southgate Drive. Police tried to contact the residents and secured the door.
