Ellsworth Police Department reports: Oct. 6-12, 2025

The following incidents were reported to Ellsworth Police Department Oct. 6-12, 2025.
Monday, Oct. 6
Police received an animal complaint at 9:41 a.m. at 297 E. Main St. and spoke to the owner.
Officers responded to a suspicious activity complaint at 1:17 p.m. at 157 E. Main St. The complainant was upset because she thought someone was going to take her dog.
Police were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash at 4:17 p.m. at 459 W. Main St. between Adam Michael Johnson, 24, Ellsworth, and Ian Dean Nelson, 17, Ellsworth.
Tuesday, Oct. 7
At 2:45 p.m., a business owner reported someone had drilled into a fuel tank and stolen diesel fuel from a vehicle parked at 405 W. Main St.
Police were called to a hit and run car vs. building crash at 3:39 p.m. at 610 E. Main St. The driver, identified as Aidyn Jasper Laventure, 17, Ellsworth, was cited for hit and run. His parents were notified.
Margaret Ann Carter, 84, Red Wing, Minn., was cited for failure to stop for a school bus at 3:46 p.m. at Terrace Avenue and Main Street.
Wednesday, Oct. 8
Charles Edward Young II, 37, Ellsworth, was cited for operating after revocation and operating motor vehicle without insurance after a driving complaint for crossing the center line and driving on gravel at 7:37 a.m. at 750th Street and Highway 65, Beldenville.
At 9:59 a.m., a complainant reported his neighbor’s dog (from 297 E. Main St.) being loose in East End Park again. The dog owner said he’s working on an electric fence to rectify the issue.
At 3:48 p.m., a caller reported their neighbor’s dog coming onto their property at 236 W. Summit Ave. and going after their dog. The dog’s owner was warned for not having her dog licensed. She said she an electronic collar for the dog, but it hadn’t been put on yet.
Police were informed of a scam threat via Tik Tok at 3:49 p.m. by a resident at 277 ½ E. Summit Ave. Someone had threatened to send images to family members if payment wasn’t received.
Police stood by for a school board meeting at 6:55 p.m. at 445 S. Piety St.
Thursday, Oct. 9
A computer crime/ID theft was reported at 12:28 p.m. at 155 W. Humble Ave.
Friday, Oct. 10
Officers assisted EMS at 8:23 a.m. at 271 E. Summit Ave.
A resident reported a theft at 2:54 p.m. at 271 E. Summit Ave. Management was in the process of reviewing video and said they found nothing.
Police conducted extra patrol at the football game at 7:10 p.m. at 323 W. Hillcrest St.
Saturday, Oct. 11
At 12:12 a.m., a caller reported people burning trash at 232 S. Piety St. Upon arrival, there was no fire observed.
Police assisted Ellsworth Fire with a possible gas leak at 9:46 a.m. at 591 N. Maple St.
Randy John Hollinshead, 57, Ellsworth, was cited after police saw him do a burnout in the street at 1:39 p.m. at 265 N. Broadway St.
Noelle Marie Voss, 47, Stillwater, Minn., was cited for retail theft after an incident at 4:03 p.m. at Family Dollar (181 E. Main St.)
Nicolas Cienfuego Alaniz, 48, Mondovi, was cited for operate without valid license (second) after a traffic stop at 9:22 p.m. at 610 E. Main St.
A caller reported a shooting complaint at 10:06 p.m. near 183 S. Grant St. Nothing was located.
Sunday, Oct. 12
Officers assisted jail staff with an unruly arrestee at 1:35 a.m. at 555 W. Overlook Drive.
Police assisted EMS at 5:42 a.m. at 431 W. Cairns St.
