Ellsworth Police Department reports: Sept. 15-21, 2025

The following incidents were reported to Ellsworth Police Department Sept. 15-21, 2025.
Monday, Sept. 15
At 6:49 a.m., police received a report that someone had drilled a hole in the gas tank of a box truck and drained the fuel at 240 N. Broadway St. A “Hyper Tough” 20-volt drill with step bit was left at the scene.
At 11:15 a.m., police were called to Ellsworth Elementary (445 S. Piety St.) for an out-of-control student who had tipped over multiple desks and thrown books. The parent came and got the child.
Police received a bus stop sign violation report at 3:40 p.m. at Chestnut and Woodworth streets. The juvenile driver had a different account of events. The parent was in agreement when the juvenile’s driver’s license was taken away for two weeks.
Tuesday, Sept. 16
Police conducted a welfare check on an individual at 10:57 a.m. at 414 W. Main St. He was fine, just trying to find a ride to Prescott.
Officers responded at 11:39 a.m. to the Pierce County Office Building (412 W. Kinne St.) for an unwanted subject. They stood by until the person left.
Police were called at 1:14 p.m. to 124 Oak St. for an unwanted subject. She said she was just trying to cool off and left.
Officers were dispatched at 3:31 p.m. to a mental health emergency at Ellsworth Middle School (312 Panther Drive).
Bailey Sterling Larson, 26, Ellsworth, was arrested for operating after revocation after a traffic stop at 7:22 p.m. at 159 W. Main St.
Wednesday, Sept. 17
Calvin James Omtvedt, 39, Ellsworth, received a second citation for keeping of animals and fowl without a permit at 11:36 a.m. at 1317 Mikel St.
Officers assisted EMS at 7:05 p.m. at 463 E. Wall St. A woman fell while trying to get to her vehicle from the sidewalk.
Joshua James Kuehl, 21, Ellsworth, was cited for operating motor vehicle without proof of insurance after a traffic stop for no license plate and loud exhaust at 9:06 p.m. at Bay and Main streets.
Officers assisted jail staff and Prescott police with a disorderly inmate at 9:24 p.m. at 555 W. Overlook Drive.
Thursday, Sept. 18
After being released from jail, a person was standing in the roadway at 2:48 a.m. at BP (101 N. Maple St.) They were told to stay out of the road.
At 8:07 a.m., a man told police he had sold the house at 660 W. Crest Lane to his stepson, who was refusing to return some of his belongings. He was advised it was a civil matter.
At 8:29 a.m., a resident at 660 W. Crest Lane called police to ask about belongings left at their house after they bought it. They were advised it was a civil matter.
Police conducted a welfare check at 10:48 a.m. at 456 W. Main St.
Matthew Jonathan Anderson, 40, Ellsworth, was cited for operating while suspended and warned for non-registration of vehicle after a traffic stop at 11:08 a.m. at Beulah and Charlotte streets.
At 2:25 p.m., a woman went to the police station to report people stalking her. She said they put listening devices in her house and were remotely accessing her internet. When she learned the department doesn’t have the equipment to check for those type of devices, she became upset, began yelling and caused a disturbance.
At 2:44 p.m., police responded to an out-of-control juvenile at a home in the 500 block of West Lucas Lane. The juvenile tried assaulting and spit on officers.
Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at 4:43 p.m. at Morse and Main streets between Julie Ann Hokeness, 68, Ellsworth, and Gabrielle Rose Deroy, 34, Bay City.
Police were dispatched to an out-of-control juvenile at 5:31 p.m. at a home in the 200 block of North Maple Street. The juvenile struck officers with rocks and spit on them.
Friday, Sept. 19
At 9;34 a.m., a woman at 228 W. Summit Ave. reported her dog had run off, but it later returned.
Police were called to a mental health emergency at 12:11 p.m. at Ellsworth Middle School (312 Panther Drive). The juvenile was voluntarily committed.
Officers were dispatched to a juvenile complaint at 7:22 p.m. at a home in the 600 block of West Dale Street.
At 8:37 p.m., a resident at a home in the 400 block of West Cairns Street was taken into protective custody and transported to a mental health facility in Winnebago.
Saturday, Sept. 20
Alex Rodrigo Quicaliquia Chimbolema, 29, Minneapolis, was cited for failure to obey traffic sign after a FedEx truck became stuck in the roadway at 3:17 p.m. near 440 Grant St.
Robert Charles Shaub, 52, Wyoming, Minn., was arrested for operating after revocation (alcohol related), felony bail jumping (three counts), misdemeanor bail jumping, and a probation hold after a disabled vehicle call at 4:09 p.m. at Grant and Cairns streets.
Sunday, Sept. 21
At 12:35 a.m., police attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding at Overlook Drive and Grant Street. The vehicle kept speeding and was abandoned in a stranger’s driveway. Police learned the vehicle had been stolen from 377 W. Overlook Drive.
Officers assisted EMS at 1:23 p.m. at N5602 670th
At 4:22 p.m., a resident at 178 S. Maple St. reported a suspicious vehicle/person had followed a child to the residence. The suspect was not located.
