The following incidents were reported to Ellsworth Police Department Sept. 22-28, 2025.
Monday, Sept. 22
At 2:01 p.m., the school superintendent forwarded police some concerning Facebook posts. Nothing linked to the village of Ellsworth. They were forwarded to Pierce County Sheriff’s Office.
Benjamin Charles Johnson, 41, Chippewa Falls, was arrested for a probation warrant at 2:45 p.m. at 310 W. Main St.
Tuesday, Sept. 23
At 8:32 a.m., a parent requested police be present while she spoke with administration at Ellsworth Middle School (312 Panther Drive). The school said police presence was not needed.
Derek Daniel Koch, 32, Bay City, was arrested for a probation violation at 8:57 a.m. at 310 W. Main St.
Theft of gasoline and damage to property was reported at 10:31 a.m. at 579 Vincent Lane. Someone had drilled into a vehicle gas tank and removed the gasoline.
At 11:40 a.m., a woman at 179 Evergreen Estates St. reported property awarded to her in a divorce had not been received from her ex-husband. She was informed it’s a civil matter.
At 2:12 p.m., a dog was found running loose at 109 Halls Hill St. The dog was returned to its owner at 131 Bork St.
At 2:42 p.m., the manager at Cenex (610 E. Main St.) reported an unidentified juvenile male had entered the store two days in a row trying to steal candy. When employees confronted him, he returned the items. He continues to come back to the store. The store would like him trespassed.
Wednesday, Sept. 24
At 1:09 p.m., a juvenile was found with a THC vape at Ellsworth High School (323 W. Hillcrest St.)
Katrina Joyce Yustus, 42, New Richmond, was arrested for a warrant at 4:08 p.m. at 301 N. Maple St.
A threat was reported at 8:29 p.m. at Ellsworth Middle School.
Thursday, Sept. 25
Police checked on a suspicious vehicle at 2:23 a.m. at 157 E. Main St. The occupant was having car trouble.
At 10:24 a.m., a resident at a home in the 100 block of Evergreen Estates Street reported being followed by a man from her house, to another house in the village, to Nilssen’s. She said a man had given her his phone number and was persistent. She described him as 5-foot-8, with blond hair and a medium build. She provided police with a name.
Cody Neil Clemmens, 47, Elmwood, was arrested for a probation violation at 10:39 a.m. at 310 W. Main St.
Police were notified of a harassment complaint at 2:52 p.m. at 160 Evergreen Estates St. A woman said if someone’s dog goes missing, no one better look at her house. She then said it was a joke because she likes the dog.
At 4:41 p.m., a complainant reported people having a fire at 123 Evergreen Estates St. It was contained in a fire cage and being watched.
Officers responded to a one-vehicle crash at 6:44 p.m. at Maple Street and Golf Course Lane. The driver had a medical episode while heading south on Maple and drove into the ditch. EMS transported him to the hospital. The vehicle had damage to the rear view mirror.
Friday, Sept. 26
Police responded to an overdose at 10 p.m. at 301 N. Maple St. The person was revived and transported to the hospital. Police recovered suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl and other various substances. Charges were referred to the district attorney’s office, along with a probation warrant.
Saturday, Sept. 27
At 7:29 a.m., police came upon a vehicle parked the wrong way on a road being paved in front of three no parking signs at 169 N. Grant St. The driver was unhappy when he was told to move his vehicle.
At 11:20 a.m., someone complained of nails from a roofing project going into a dumpster at 218 N. Broadway St. The project supervisor stated no nails are being used because it’s a flat roof. He was advised of the complaint.
Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at 3:26 p.m. between Zachary Eugene Anderson, 31, Woodville, and Carl Donald Saueressig, 76, River Falls.
Sunday, Sept. 28
At 12:20 a.m., a caller reported a dog running away from 742 W. Dale St.
Robert Ward Edwards, 63, Ellsworth, drove over a sign while exiting a parking lot at 10:18 a.m. at 456 W. Main St. He left the scene without reporting the crash. The sign was damaged beyond repair. He was cited by mail.
Police responded to a shoplifting complaint at 3:18 p.m. at 181 E. Main St. The case is pending.
Officers notified public works employees of a water issue at 6:37 p.m. at Cope and Walnut streets.
