The committee will convene back in open session to take action, if required. Corporation Counsel Brad Lawrence said the person in question, who he declined to name, has the right to demand the evidentiary hearing be held in open session. In his expe rience, most people don’t want such hearings in open session, he said.
“With regard to any sit- uations regarding specific pending personnel relat- ed matters, Pierce Coun ty must balance interests on a case-by-case basis,” Lawrence said to an open records request. “Having done so, Pierce County cannot comment on your questions and is not at liberty to discuss any personnel related questions at this time.” Pierce County Sher –
iu Nancy Hove also de clined to name the person in question.
