Friday, Dec. 3 Inaugural Christmas

Extravaganza, Comforts of Home (2354 Aurora Circle, River Falls). Photos with Santa at 4:30 p.m., tree lighting at 6 p.m. Enjoy hot chocolate, Christmas cookies, raffles and horse-drawn sleigh ride.

Saturday, Dec. 4 Ashley Hinrichs Benefit, 1-5 p.m., Molly’s On Main (515 Main St., Plum City). Hinrichs was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma Stage 2a. Funds raised will go toward travel costs for treatment, etc. You can donate at www.gofundme. com/ashley-hinrichs- benefit.

God Jul: A Swedish Christmas, Stockholm holiday celebration. Visit with Stockholm’s Jultomte, Mini Jultomte and Santa Lucia, who will ride through the village in a horse-drawn wagon. Gifts, hot drinks and holiday food throughout the day.

Thursday, Dec. 9 RF Area Retired Educators Association, 11 a.m. at West Wind Supper Club in River Falls. Christmas party with charades, gift exchange, lunch and ugly sweater contest. Always looking for new members from Hudson, Baldwin, Prescott, RF, Spring Valley, and New Richmond. Join us if you’re retired and worked in any capacity in public schools. Our chapter and the Wis. Retired Educator’s Association work to protect our pension. We also award scholarships and volunteer in schools and communities.

Winter Open House 127:30 p.m. at River Falls Public Library (140 Union St.) Live music, refreshments, crafts, RFHS Costumed Carolers and Winsome Hollow String Band, henna art, face painting, games with Fox Den Books and live reindeer.

Saturday, Dec. 11 Milk & Cookies with Santa on the Farm, 4:306:30 p.m. at Ti-Shi Dairy Inc./Colbenson Family Farm (N6182 290th St., Elmwood). Visit a dairy farm at this festive drive-thru event. Each car will receive free cookies, mike and cheese, along with an educational goodie bag for kids. Sponsored by the Pierce County Dairy Promotion Committee.

Friday, Dec. 17 Christmas Cookie Walk, 2-6 p.m., Spring Valley Senior Living & Health Care (S830 Westland Drive, Spring Valley). Help raise funds for senior activities!

Saturday, Dec. 18 Holiday Cookie Walk, 10 a.m. to noon, Emergency Services Building (S407 Newman Ave., Spring Valley). Free-will donation holiday cookie walk. All baked good, pre-plattered and sealed. Family favorites and traditional Christmas cookies. All proceeds go to the healthcare education scholarship.

Mooney’s Christmas Party for Kids, 1 p.m., Mooney’s Rusty Horse Bar & Grill (S211 McKay Ave., Spring Valley). Get your photo taken with the Grinch, decorate cookies and crafts, play games, wrap gifts for seniors, cocoa and candy canes for all. Please bring an unwrapped gift.
