To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Gov. Tony Evers has signed a $1.56 million contract with prime contractor Omega Coatings and Construction of Madison for a project painting portions of eight bridges in six counties, including abutments, bearing plates, bearings, girders, piers and splice plates to extend the lives of the structures.
Painting is scheduled to start Tuesday, April 22, with structures painted in the following order.
During painting, motorists will encounter single-lane and shoulder closures. Pedestrians also will be detoured at the following two projects:
Work is weather dependent. Painting is scheduled for completion in early June.
