To the editor,
There is a clear reason that voters - Independents, Democrats, and Republicans - should vote for Harris; the only one running for President who will abide by the oath to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution.
New evidence has come to light in the last few days about the January 6th case.
In addition to being a convicted felon, Trump is accused of crimes laid out in detail in 165 pages that have been made public.
When he lost the election in 2020, Trump lied - and staged a coup for two months, trying to overturn election results so he could illegally stay in power.
When that didn’t work, he lied and started a deadly riot at the US Capitol on January 6th to try to overthrow our government.
There is nothing Trump will not lie about - he will say or do anything for money, power, or retribution.
Again and again Trump proves that he wants to destroy the system that reins him in - our system, our democracy and the rule of law.
He is a threat to our democracy.
Independents, Democrats, and Republicans should vote for Harris because that is what patriotism looks like in this election. That is what courage looks like. That is what love of country looks like.
