To the editor,
There are many important issues facing our nation. Amongst the chaos of politics, infrastructure is one that sometimes gets overlooked. US Rep. Derrick Van Orden serves on the Infrastructure Committee, where he’s been delivering bipartisan results for the people of Wisconsin’s 3rd Congressional District.
Congressman Van Orden has taken the term “bringing home the bacon” to a new level, especially as it relates to securing funds for community projects. In a recent appropriations package, the Congressman secured a total of $26 million for our district - that isn’t pocket change, folks.
More specifically, Congressman Van Orden secured $10 million for a new highway in Eau Claire County, $2.5 for Richland Center to extend infrastructure for a new hospital, $2 million for Campbell to establish a clean water system, and much more. These projects affect real people, every single day.
Congressman Van Orden also supported the bipartisan “Protecting Infrastructure Investments for Rural America Ac,”, which would remove barriers for rural communities to apply for and receive funding for infrastructure projects.
It’s refreshing to know we still have folks working for middle America in Washington, not the DC elites. I’m certain Congressman Van Orden will continue to fight for the people of the 3rd District of Wisconsin! Keep up the great work, Mr. Van Orden!
