Letter to the editor: Say ‘yes’ to April 2 facilities referendum

Posted

To the editor,

As a parent deeply invested in the education and well-being of our children, I am writing to express my strong support for the Ellsworth Community School District facilities referendum on April 2. Our district's buildings play a crucial role in shaping the learning environment for our students, and it is imperative that we prioritize keeping them in good condition.

Maintaining our facilities is not just about appearances; it directly impacts the quality of education our children receive. Up-to-date buildings equipped with modern technology create an environment conducive to learning and prepare our students for success in a rapidly advancing world.

Furthermore, ensuring that our schools are safe and adequately sized to accommodate class sizes is essential for the well-being and academic growth of our students. Every child deserves to learn in an environment that fosters growth, creativity, and exploration without worrying about their safety or overcrowded spaces hindering their learning experience.

By supporting the referendum, we are investing in the future of our community and the success of our children. It is our responsibility to provide them with the resources and facilities they need to thrive and reach their full potential.

I urge my fellow community members to join me in voting "yes" for the facilities referendum on April 2. Let's come together to ensure that our students have safe, modern, functional, and well-equipped schools that will empower them to succeed now and in the future.
