To the editor,

We are no longer on the road to make our imperfect society better. Trump has taken us on a detour using hate, misogyny, and corruption on a scale never seen before in the US. They are dividing us, destroying our country, and calling it patriotism.  They currently have the government power structures, the desire, and the means to do it. 
I believe our job is to stand up, stand strong and make sure the scales of power are tipped towards democracy again. This election will absolutely determine our futures. 
The powerful and rich see these elections as an existential threat and are willing to use every means possible to continue down the path of destruction. The Supreme Court order yesterday directs the Department of Homeland Security to create a federal “state citizenship list” of eligible voters and instructs the U.S. Postal Service to deliver mail ballots only to those on the list.
We the people are the last hope to prevent the collapse of our government. 
We have only 69 days left. 
How can you protect our freedoms?
