To the editor,
The River Falls Branch of AAUW held its annual book sale this past month. This fundraising event has been held in the community for over 50 years and through the years, has provided scholarships for students at River Falls High School, UW-RF, and Chippewa Valley Technical College,
This year’s sale was extremely successful. It was made possible through the efforts of many, both in and out of our organization. Members contributed countless hours. We would like to thank all the community members who donated and then bought books. Thank you to Ptacek’s Family Market, Family Fresh Market in River Falls and County Market in Hudson for housing donation bins. Of special note is the generosity of Alison and David Page for the use of a lovely, spacious first floor site in downtown River Falls for the sale. Everyone’s support and involvement are so appreciated.
