To the editor,
The River Falls Branch of AAUW held its annual book sale this past month. This fundraising event has been a community staple for over 50 years and in this time, has provided scholarships for students at River Falls High School, UWRF, and Chippewa Valley Technical College.
This year’s sale was extremely successful. It was made possible only through the efforts of many, both in and out of our organization. Members contributed countless hours. The community provided the inventory of books and games. We would like to thank those who donated and then bought books. Thank you to Ptacek’s Family Market, Family Fresh Market in River Falls and Hudson Grocery Co-op Grocery for housing donation bins. Of special note is the generosity of Alison and David Page for the use of a lovely, spacious first floor site in downtown River Falls for the sale. Everyone’s support and involvement is so appreciated.
