To the editor,

Over this past weekend I attended the Pierce County Clean Sweep. This program is put on by the Pierce County Solid Waste and Recycling department and is a tremendous service to our community.

Every year I have attended the participation is unbelievable; most years if you are not there before the doors open you can count on waiting in line. However, that line does go fast and that is thanks to the many workers they have helping. The men and women who give up their Saturday morning to help keep our community clean and give Pierce County residents a place to take our hazardous waste do an outstanding job. Whether it is hot and humid or raining, like this past weekend, the clean sweep staff work like a well-oiled machine and with a smile.

I want to thank each and every hard working and dedicated individual who assists with this program. You are essential to helping keep Pierce County a clean place to live. THANK YOU!
