To the editor,
Republicans were elected to make laws in Congress. They have control of both the House and the Senate. They are supposed to ensure the balance of power, provide the checks and balances we all need to ensure order.
What we have now in Washington DC is a collapsed Republican Party and a constitutional crisis. Donald Trump has given power to an unelected South African rich guy who has taken over the Department of Treasury. Elon Musk has access to every American’s social security number and our tax information. Why do Republicans not object to this?
I am calling my Congressperson and Senators daily to ask that question.
This is about democracy. In our country there is no king who can bestow powers to an unelected rich guy. Pay attention!!!
