Letter to the editor: District 8 is ready for a change

Posted

To the editor,

I want to introduce my friend, neighbor, and fellow concerned community member. Martin Kretzmann may not be born and raised here, but he’s nothing less than a valued resident with complete intention of this being his forever home. He moved here from an area whose government was failing the residents, and he’s seen what the lack of responsibility can do to a city. He defines the term “neighbor” by being friendly and welcoming to all. He’s often the one who opens up the table for important discussions and has the experience to offer fresh ideas and perspectives. He’s comfortable discussing challenging issues and excels at working together for solutions.

If you recall in the summer to 2022, there was a proposal for a racetrack to be built in River Falls Township. Martin was a key player in arranging residents, raising funds and bravely standing up to disassemble the developers’ plans, which would have disrupted our countryside. He showed up to the hearings, city meetings, petition signing, and every “Stop the Racetrack” group meeting to aid in doing what was right for our town. HE SHOWED UP, and he SPOKE UP when we needed him most. The consistency, dedication and reliability is unmatched.

Martin is running for Pierce County Board this year and has a deep interest for aiding the county with financial responsibility and transparency. He’s ready to offer ideas for structure, increased communication with residents, and offer fair representation from a neighbors’ perspective.

Vote Martin in April 2. We’re ready for change.
