To the editor,
I am scratching my head reading the message from the CEO of Wisconsin Energy Cooperative proclaiming that energy demand is up, but we need to use less because the infrastructure cannot cope with it and we got to pay more for less.
This is confirmed by notices I've been receiving weekly to cut my energy use. I believe these notices are a result of the grid relying on renewable energy to compliment and replace our coal and gas fired sources. We do have nuclear and hydroelectric power sources but these lag years behind European fast breeder reactors.
So just quit the whining and contact the federal and state governments to do something about it and quit giving in to the environmental wackos who want us back in the stone age who currently on LinkedIn are trying to justify failed renewable energy sources by promoting batteries for storage when that system doesn't work. Imagine supplying power to Madison partly through batteries. Has anyone ever looked at the environmental disasters of mining lithium while coal and oil extraction and use is continually being technologically advanced. So are scrubbers in coal power plants.
