To the editor,

Armed tanks drive down the streets of the capitol city, the military celebrates the birthday of its country's benevolent leader as he states, "Any protesters will be met with fierce force." Conservatives celebrate this dictator; other citizens take to the streets in protest to remind them that this country has no kings. These two words alone are enough to enrage conservatives to the point they demand riot police beat peaceful protesters, military march the streets arresting Americans for free speech, and now assassinating political opponents in cold blood.

These scenes you would expect from a third world dictatorship, but this is just Trump's America. The rest of the free world can see these scenes as well and they no longer view the US as the beacon of liberty it once was.

Many of them even wonder if the US can be trusted as an ally anymore, given its constant threats of invasion and violent force if these ALLIES do not do as America's dictator demands.

This is the legacy of Trump and all conservatives in America. None of this comes as a surprise to anyone who was paying attention. Trump told us he wanted to be a dictator. Conservatives handed him the keys to the most powerful military on earth, which he now uses on Americans. In less than six months they caused this and conservatives, as well as everyone else who struggles with the simple differences between good and bad, are now trying to figure out if when a leader orders the military to arrest/beat citizens for protesting it is considered dictatorship.

If you are still figuring out where the line is that Trump has to cross for you to finally admit he is a dictator, then you are too late. You've traded your freedom for security.
