To the editor,

I would like to extend my sincere congratulations to the Ellsworth Hall of Fame Committee and the entire Ellsworth community for hosting an outstanding Hall of Fame Induction banquet this past Saturday. Congratulations to Milt Helmer, William Huber, and Judi Helmer and their families on their induction into the Hall of Fame. From the excellent food to the soothing background music, every detail was handled with care and excellence. 

I was particularly impressed by the strong presence of Ellsworth students throughout the evening. Student speakers Margaret Pechacek and Ani Whelan delivered their remarks with impressive poise and confidence, serving as exceptional representatives of their school and community.

I would also like to recognize Ellsworth High School teacher Anne Pechacek. A highly accomplished, dedicated, and respected educator, she has been instrumental in the development and success of the Ellsworth Hall of Fame. More than three decades ago, Anne (then Anne Magnan) was one of my students, and even then she demonstrated the talent and commitment that would come to define her outstanding career. Despite her many achievements, Mrs. Pechacek remains humble and focused on what matters most—her students. Her dedication and quiet leadership have made a lasting impact, and Ellsworth is truly fortunate to have such an impressive educator and human being within its walls. 

Congratulations to Anne Pechacek, her daughter Maggie Pechacek, students, and the Ellsworth Hall of Fame Committee on a job exceptionally well done.
