Letter to the editor: Knowledge not always good

To the editor,

It is so amazing how much knowledge is available today. Even the Bible says that in the last days "knowledge will increase." So does all this info really help us? I suppose it depends on what one really needs to complete his or her projects, destiny etc.

But one thing I have found in the last 40 years, is that one supreme fact overrides everything I needed to function daily. It is the book of Jeremiah chapter 9 verse 23 and 24. “Thus say the Lord. Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, let not the mighty man glory in his might, Let not the rich man glory in his riches, but let him that glorieth glory in this: that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord which exercise loving, kindness, judgment and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight. saith the Lord.

And Romans chapter 8 verse 24: “For we are saved by hope......verse 25 But if we hope what we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.”

Jesus once said "in your patience you will possess your soul." These days of overwhelming info, I find drawing closer to God is the only way to keep ones sanity!! Hope you all find how wonderful this Savior is this Christmas.
