To the editor,
There are many important issues that should be a part of our state Supreme Court justice election, but one issue has pushed those aside. Elon Musk, who has a court case pending against our state, has decided to attempt to buy an election. That now supersedes all of the other issues as it reflects on the very integrity of our democracy. We have a chance to send a clear signal to the billionaires club that democracy is not for sale. At least not in Wisconsin.
Whether you are a Republican, Democrat, independent or nonpartisan we have a chance to send the message, our court or government is not for sale. Sadly, State Supreme Court candidate Brad Schimel has sold out. Nobody gives someone $16 million without expecting something in return. Therefore, I urge fellow citizens to vote for Susan Crawford, if for no other reason than to make the statement that we cannot be bought. In true Wisconsin tradition let's join together to be "Badgers" and let the "Musk-rats" go elsewhere!
