To the editor,
I am writing in support of Rebecca Cooke who is running for Assembly, 3rd District. She grew up on a sixth-generation Eau Claire dairy farm. She is a small business owner, and even as the campaign heats up, waitresses three nights a week.
Cooke says the rural district needs a different representative in order to get a farm bill passed. Far from being a career politician, she has focused on building community and serving others. She founded a nonprofit organization to help others start small businesses and was appointed by Gov. Evers to the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.
I have personally met her and heard her speak. I was impressed by her confidence and enthusiasm, and feel she would represent us well in the Assembly.
