To the editor,

We like living in Pierce County. One of the reasons it is such a nice place to live, we think, is because of the contributions of people like Dean Bergseng, our representative on the county board in District 8.

Dean's family has cared for their farm for well over 100 years. He's a member of the Land Conservation committee. He's chair of the Agriculture and Extension committee. Dean is on the Fair committee and has been part of keeping its traditional atmosphere while improving the facilities. 

Dean served in the military and is on the county Veterans committee, as well as the Highway committee.

He supports law enforcement and our county sheriff.

That is a lot of time spent in committee meetings and in doing the legwork involved in each committee assignment. Dean quietly does his job.

His challenger rolls out the same old rhetoric about transparency and fiscal responsibility. Well Dean is about as fiscally responsible as they come. Pierce County and all of western Wisconsin is facing unprecedented growth in the years ahead. I prefer to keep him and all of his experience representing me, District 8, and the rest of Pierce County in the years ahead!
