To the editor,
Our state assembly and senate (with overwhelmingly Republican members) have done everything in their power to prevent our duly elected governor, Gov. Evers, from doing his job.
Wisconsin is the nation’s most gerrymandered state. Whatever state government policy/conflict is considered by the Wisconsin State Supreme Court, the result is forgone (rubberstamped) by the Conservative Court to favor the Republican majority. We have an opportunity to prevent this by electing Janet Protasciewicz, a moderate, who will provide needed balance to our Supreme Court.
I have met Judge Protasciewicz in person, and was impressed by her experience, honesty and commitment to democratic ideals (especially insuring the right to vote). And as a senior citizen, I will feel more confident in the continued Medicare and Social Security benefits that mean all of the difference in my life as well as that of many others in my same situation with Janet Protasciewicz on the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Please consider giving her your vote.
