To the editor,
Voters in Pierce County supervisory district 8 (all of the town of River Falls and the northern half of Martell) have two good choices for county supervisor this year. I've looked at the situation and have decided to cast my vote for Wendy DiPeso. I appreciate her dogged pursuit of the details involved in decisions that will have to be made on behalf of our county residents. It's going to be a very tough gig for whoever is elected, as the federal funding that supported many of the programs that our county is mandated to provide for residents has been cut and will be cut further under the so-called Big Beautiful Bill.
Wendy has been learning everything she can, attending not only board meetings but also many subcommittee meetings so she can understand how the board works and the issues it faces. Her values, intelligence, and practical nature will guide her in working toward solutions that benefit all of us.
