To the editor,
In last week’s paper, I read a letter claiming Republicans like Derrick Van Orden have caused inflation. With respect, I’d like to express my profound disagreement.
Since the Biden/Harris Administration took over, inflation has reached historic levels. Under their reign, everything has gone up. Take groceries for example, items like milk are up 15%, bread - 30%, and eggs - 79%. All of a sudden, families are having to find an extra $1,000 per month to get by.
Americans may be poorer under the Biden/Harris Administration, but they aren’t stupid. We understand that out-of-control spending and foolish energy policy, fully supported by the Democrats running in Wisconsin’s 3rd District, are causing this inflation nightmare.
Republicans in Congress, like Rep. Derrick Van Orden, have fought these harmful economic policies. Van Orden is focused on making life affordable again, passing bills like the Fiscal Responsibility Act and Lower Energy Costs Act. He knows that ending inflationary spending and increasing energy production will help us prosper.
The Democrats running against Van Orden just don’t get it. They’ll be a rubber stamp for Kamala Harris’s failed economic agenda, something western Wisconsin simply can’t afford. Vote Van Orden in November!
