To the editor,
I’m a resident of Prescott, and I’m voting for Rebecca Cooke for Congress in the primary on Aug. 13.
I can’t turn on the TV, head to the store, or have a conversation without hearing about the rising cost of everyday goods. From groceries to gas, everything is costing more these days thanks to huge corporations and corrupt politicians like Rep. Derrick Van Orden rigging the rules to favor the greedy and.super wealthy. They would like us to look the other way and blame working people, people of color or immigrants for the problems we’re facing. Wisconsinites deserve better. We deserve a representative who knows what it’s like to be a working person, and Rebecca Cooke is that candidate.
We need REAL people who come from humble, working-class backgrounds. Washington already has enough millionaires and career politicians doing their bidding. That’s why I’m proud to support Rebecca Cooke in the WI-03 primary for Congress. She grew up on a family dairy farm as a 4H kid, proudly hails from a family of veterans and firefighters, is a small business owner, and even started a nonprofit here. She sees the bigger picture and works hard because she genuinely cares about seeing our communities succeed.
