Letter to the editor: We should demand resignations

Posted

To the editor,

I’m proud of my family member who is in the U.S. military. He’s ready to parachute into danger zones to achieve military and/or humanitarian goals on behalf of our us. He is kind, smart, responsible, caring, and brave. He embodies everything our country stands for. Or used to stand for.

Our current leadership recognizes only dollars, prestige, greed, and cruelty. The blatant recklessness exhibited by Vance, Hegseth, Gabbard, and other senior members of the Trump “leadership” team puts members of our military at risk. We should demand resignations, and we should hold not only the Trump folk accountable. Our own Ron Johnson voted for these clowns. The Republican party, once a proud supporter of this nation’s fighting forces, has tucked its tail and grovels at the Trump bowl of gruel. Who will stand up for the men and women standing up for us?
