To the editor,
For years, local society has quietly tolerated those among us who use their faith to legally terrorize those in the LGBTQI+ community: you believe homosexuality is a sin so you’re willing to vote for people who deny this marginalized community liberty and justice under the law, dignity under basic decency.
Recently, your leader posted a picture of an upside-down pink triangle with a red circle and line through it on Truth Social. Rusty on your history? This is the symbol Nazis used in concentration camps to brand homosexual prisoners, human beings who they tortured and killed.
Nazis literally placed these triangles prominently on their shirts.
There is a line forming at this point in history. Which side are you on?
