Mable Marie Johnsen, aged 99, of Hudson, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at Comforts of Home Assisted Living in Hudson, Wis. where she had been a resident for three years.

Mable was born on Aug. 4, 1922, the youngest of five children, to Christian and Flora Freier on their family farm in Ellsworth, Wis.

She married Graydon Johnsen on Sep. 11, 1945, and lived on his family’s farm in Bay City, Wis. where she would spend the majority of her life and have 55 wonderful years with him. They had three children; Coralie, Forrest, and Randall.

She and her husband were baptized as Jehovah’s Witnesses on Aug. 22, 1954, at a convention in Chicago. Mable had strong faith throughout her life and never stopped telling others about the good news of God’s Kingdom up to her death.

She was known as a hard-working and hospitable woman who opened her home to friends and family and always had a fresh pie waiting on the kitchen counter. She loved reading and would astonish others with her impeccable memory for poems of her childhood, and scriptures, which she could recite to the letter. She loved spending time with her family and seeing them all in one place where she could feed them and watch old movies together.

Mable is survived by her daughter, Coralie Earney; son, Forrest Johnsen (Sandra); son, Randall Johnsen (Joan); eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Graydon; parents, Flora and Christian; sisters, Olive, Adeline, and Florence; brother, Leland; son-in-law, Gregg; and great-grandson, Erik.

A private family memorial was held on July 29, at the Bay City Cemetery.
