To the editor,

UGH. Someone is ripping off a lot of folks here. Some of that stuff has to be stored in a big pile somewhere for years. The creamed corn is a stomach turner; the regular corn has a weird taste. The carrots are usually too tough to put a fork in and have no taste – at least not like carrots. Of course, the steamed broccoli is fine if you like old, tough stems; why not just fresh broccoli? Once in a while they will have a raisin salad type which is edible. A big waste is the soggy little so-called roll that comes in a plastic bag  - so many plastic types of delivery  - but the very worst is all the foam cups and containers. There is no respect for the environment among these people; some plastic can be recycled, but foam will last almost forever. How about using a good grade of paper for some of that stuu? Those little sugar filled cupcakes are a joke - NO food value period. The pie is sometimes okay but comes in a hard brittle plastic clamshell that goes in a landfill. The crowning glory last week was the stuffed cabbage - or was it even cabbage? I have never eaten cabbage cooked or boiled that was too tough to cut with a fork or even chew! Makes me wonder how long that had been in a warehouse somewhere?

Who is making the profits ou this travesty? Well, these things are let out on bids so the local grocery store may enlighten us on that, but this is national in scope so it is a huge pie. Sometimes the fruit can be good, or a custard or pudding. It is mostly the main course that is a problem.
