Letter to the editor: Thank you, Ellsworth

To the editor,

After nine years on the Ellsworth Community School District Board of Education, I am filled with an overwhelming sense of gratitude. After much reflection and consideration, I decided not to run for another term, a decision that will allow more time with my family and to pursue some new endeavors. While it is a bittersweet moment for me, I believe it is time for fresh perspectives and new leadership to guide our educational endeavors forward.

Throughout my tenure, our community has demonstrated unwavering support, understanding and trust, which have been the driving forces behind the decisions and initiatives we've undertaken. Your engagement, feedback, and encouragement have shaped our direction and empowered us to strive for excellence.

To the exceptional educators and administrators who passionately work to nurture the minds of our future

generations, thank you for your tireless dedication, innovation, and commitment to providing an enriching learning environment for our students.

And to our students, the heart and soul of our educational endeavors, thank you for your boundless curiosity, resilience, and enthusiasm. It has been an honor to witness your growth, celebrate your achievements, and support you in your journey towards realizing your full potential.

As I bid farewell to this role, I carry with me cherished memories, invaluable lessons, and an appreciation for the privilege of serving our community. While my time in this capacity has come to an end, my commitment to the well-being and success of our schools remains steadfast.

In closing, I extend my deepest gratitude to each and every member of our community for your votes, support, collaboration, and partnership. Together, we have achieved remarkable milestones, overcome challenges, and created a legacy of excellence that will continue to shape the future of the ECSD for generations to come.

In appreciation,

Katie Feuerhelm
