MENOMONIE – Grant Magnuson, a freshman business administration major from River Falls, has been named to the University of Wisconsin-Stout 2021-22 men's track and field team (mid-distance).

The head coach is Kyle Steiner. This is his 12th year with the program.

Anna Blanford, a freshman from Elmwood, been named to the University of Wisconsin-Stout 2021-22 softball team (right-handed pitcher).

The head coach is Chris Iliopoulos. This is his fifth year with the program.

RIVER FALLS – Kaye Anderson, River Falls, was one of eight students to receive the Chancellor’s Award for Students at University of Wisconsin-River Falls on Tuesday, April 19.

The Chancellor’s Award is the highest non-academic honor students can receive at the university. It recognizes students who have shown distinguished leadership and service while on campus.

“The honorees are a testament to our mission to prepare students to be productive, creative, ethical, engaged citizens and leaders with an informed global perspective. A review of the nomination materials submitted makes it clear our students are successfully living this mission,” said Chancellor Maria Gallo.

Anderson is a senior studying psychology and English education. She is a writing tutor, Ability Services Peer Mentor, a Chancellor’s Student Ambassador, a member of Aspiring Educators and the UWF Disability Advisory Committee. In a nomination letter, Anderson was noted for her caring dis- position for other students, the ovces she works in and for helping others reach their goals.
