Coordinated by River Valley Charities, the event raised funds and awareness for individuals facing hurt, hunger, and homelessness in the community. Joining forces with over 250 other cities across North America, the Hudson event showcased a collective effort to support local programs serving the most vulnerable.
The Coldest Night of the Year raised over $61,000 to benefit four vital programs in western Wisconsin: Our Neighbors' Place, Operation Help, Grace Place, and the Hudson Backpack and Food Program. These funds will provide critical support for those facing hunger, homelessness, and other hardship throughout the St. Croix Valley.
"We are overwhelmed by the incredible generosity of our community," said Andy Johnson, Executive Director of River Valley Charities. "The outpouring of collaborative support from walkers, sponsors, and volunteers truly embodies the spirit of Coldest Night of the Year. Thanks to everyone's efforts, we can make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most."
