The Prescott High School Speech Team competed at the Alternate District competition on March 16 and the District Competition on March 25. Of the 28 entries competing, 24 qualified for the Wisconsin Interscholastic Speech and Dramatic Arts Association State festival on April 21 at DeForest High School.
Students qualifying for state included: MaKenna and Kendra Ogilvie, Nora Boles, and Abby Stubbe in Demonstration; Rian Engeldinger in Extemporaneous Speaking; Addison Huppert in Informative; Sophia Kapsh in Farrago; Erica Jennings and Bryn Anderson in Oratory; Kelcey Hanson, Madison Schmitz, Shira Stubbe, and Kaitlyn Sanney in Poetry; Andaria Henderson, Lili Campfield-Huth, and Grace Ryan in Prose; Ella Johnson in Public Address; Cara Fiedler and Allie Tibayan in Moments in History; Mabel Rohl and Max Dearborn in Radio News Reporting; Kinsey Peterson in Solo Acting; Delia Warp and Will Markert in Storytelling; and Rory Zuehlsdorf in Special Occasion. In addition, Erica Jennings earned perfect scores in all three rounds.
