July 12

At 11:14 a.m., deputies assisted with traffic for a disabled semi at 695th Avenue and County Road F.

At 1:51 p.m., police dispatched a deer that had been injured in a crash, at County Road J and Highway 10. The caller took the deer.

At 2:15 p.m., deputies assisted in locating a dog that had run off from W6595 490th Ave., Ellsworth; the dog was reunited with its owners.

At 2:34 p.m., PCSO received an anonymous complaint that there is no handicapped parking at the campground/marina at N650 825th St., Hager City. When deputies attempted to call the number back, the caller hung up. A message was left for the campground owner.

At 4:26 p.m., a property owner asked police to check N5186 170th St., Elmwood, for squatters. It appeared people moved into an abandoned property. Police made contact with people, who said they would get their belongings out that night. The owner chose not to press trespassing charges, but wanted them gone.

At 4:44 p.m., deputies removed piles of hay from the roadway at 450th Street and Highway 72, Ellsworth.

At 10:41 p.m., a land owner requested extra patrol around N4272 County Road S, Plum City, due to suspicious activity.

At 10:46 p.m., police checked the sand pit for people walking around at W6670 150th Ave., Bay City. No people or tracks were found.

July 13

Police warned juveniles for possession of nicotine products at 1:16 a.m. near 900th Street and Highway 29, River Falls.

At 11:08 a.m., a concerned caller reported a low-flying helicopter near N4309 710th St., Ellsworth. The helicopter had informed PCSO that it would be spraying fields.

Deputies responded at 9:40 p.m. to Front and Orange streets in Prescott for a twoboat accident.

At 6:53 p.m., deputies responded to N4077 County Road S, Plum City, for theft of various car parts.

At 7:23 p.m., a caller requested police check on a man who had just left N1119 451st St., Maiden Rock, on foot. Police found him on Highway 35 walking to the bar. Police called his son to pick him up.

At 9:22 p.m., police checked on a suspicious vehicle parked at 770th Street and Highway 35 after hours. The driver was making a phone call.

At 10:13 p.m., a man called from W5322 250th Ave., Bay City, to report a stolen vehicle. Records showed the vehicle had been sold to a woman. Police spoke to the man about filing a false report.

July 14

Deputies assisted Pepin County with a pursuit at 4:09 a.m. near 10th Street and Highway 10, Arkansaw. The vehicle involved was not located.

Police performed a welfare check at 4:21 a.m. at W5322 250th Ave., Bay City. Text messages between two parties were reviewed. A civil issue regarding custody of kids and cats was brought up.

At 6:56 a.m., deputies responded to W8409 480th Ave., Ellsworth, for loose horses. The owner was able to round them up and they went home.

At 9:21 a.m., a caller reported someone drove down his driveway the day before with an RV and damaged the driveway, at W12489 820th Ave., River Falls. The RV driver was apparently trying to get back to Minnesota. Police advised him it was a civil matter.

At 11:26 a.m., deputies assisted Ellsworth police and EMS with an unresponsive man at Elm and Maple streets in Ellsworth.

July 15

While patrolling, a deputy removed a dead deer from the road at 4:58 a.m. at County Road Y and Highway 63, Spring Valley.

A caller reported it looked like someone had gone into a field at 11:21 a.m. at N3941 Highway 35, Prescott. The damage appeared to be from a reported crash that occurred July 11.

Police responded at 1:21 p.m. to W6544 Maple St., Bay City, for an animal complaint. A caller told police the dog outside did not have water. When police arrived, they spoke to the owner; the dog had sufficient water.

Deputies responded at 3:23 p.m. to N5186 170th St., Elmwood, for a report of someone walking on the property. No one was located.

At 5:47 p.m., a caller reported continuous speeding issues on 610th Street, Ellsworth.

At 8:28 p.m., a caller reported speeding ATVs at 265th Avenue and County Road S, Plum City. No ATVs were found.

July 16

At 10:57 a.m., a caller reported property being toilet papered and egged at W12172 757th Ave., River Falls. The owner was able to wash the egg off with no damage.

At 1:31 p.m., a caller reported a parked vehicle taking up three parking spots at County Road AA and Highway 35, Stockholm. When police arrived, the vehicle in question was legally parked using one spot.

Deputies responded at 5:19 p.m. to N353 Sabin Ave., Spring Valley, for a disorderly person. The man was arrested for an outstanding probation warrant and taken to the jail.

A dead deer was removed from the northbound lane of traffic at 730th Avenue and County Road BB, Spring Valley, at 5:24 p.m.

Deputies assisted at the scene of a structure fire at 7:30 p.m. at 800 Canton St., Prescott.

Deputies responded to a domestic situation at 9:31 p.m. at W7908 250thAve., Hager City. Both parties refused to write statements and separated for the night.

July 17

At 4:58 a.m., a caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked in front of 515 Main St., Plum City, for 24 hours. Police left a voicemail for the vehicle’s registered owner.

At 6:52 a.m., a caller from W3749 330th Ave., Maiden Rock, reported someone when through his vehicle the night prior, though nothing was missing. He also believed gas might have been siphoned from an outdoor tank. He was advised to beef up on security and report any further suspicious activity. At 10:22 a.m., police responded to W9931 Highway 29, River Falls, for a report of two people yelling. Upon arrival, it was determined a verbal argument had occurred. A safety plan was put into place.

At 11:17 a.m., a caller reported a missing stop sign at the intersection of 770th Avenue and 950th Street, River Falls. The post was still there.

A Prescott juvenile was cited at 3:47 p.m. for harassment of up to 20 people via social media and texting.

At 4:03 p.m., police responded to W704 County Road G, Elmwood, for a report of people yelling. Spring Valley police provided mutual aid and located a vehicle. A girl was stung by a bee and they pulled over to check it out.

A vehicle theft was reported at 6:25 p.m. at N8232 945th St., River Falls. Follow up for video footage will be conducted.

A caller reported a driving complaint of someone swerving and speeding at 7:14 p.m. at 320th Avenue and Highway 63, Hager City. The vehicle was located; the driver told police she was having a panic attack.

Police responded at 9:30 p.m. to highways 29 and 63, Spring Valley, for a large fire in the middle of the woods, which turned out to be a controlled burn. The owner was advised to call ahead next time.

Deputies responded to a complaint of power lines down across the roadway at 9:35 p.m. at N4767 710th St., Ellsworth. Deputies conducted traffic control until the power company could fix the line.

A caller lodged a trespassing complaint at 9:41 p.m. at N4077 County Road S, Plum City. No one was located.

July 18

Police checked on a suspicious vehicle parked at W4741 Highway 35, Maiden Rock, at 1:34 a.m. A woman was sleeping in the driver’s seat. She said she was tired so pulled over to take a nap.

At 3:13 a.m., a caller reported people arguing at N8644 940th St., River Falls. When police checked the address, all lights were off and no signs of distress were heard.

At 3:34 a.m., police saw vehicle parked in the middle of the roadway at 900th Street and Highway 29, River Falls. A motorcycle came back as stolen. A man was arrested for possess stolen property and cited for operate motorcycle without a valid license.

Police responded to N5231 410th St., Ellsworth, for a 911 call. Two people said they had a verbal argument and declined filling out statements.

At 11:37 a.m., police saw a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed near Highway 35 and 150thAvenue East, Bay City. A pursuit ensued; the vehicle headed into Minnesota, where Red Wing police picked up the chase.

Deputies assisted EMS with a medical issue at the docks at 2:45 p.m. at N673 825th St., Hager City.

At 6:58 p.m., police responded to W12508 Highway 35, Prescott, for a group of juveniles yelling and harassing a female. The juveniles left before police arrived. The complainant did not know them.
