Officers responded to a three-vehicle crash at 9:12 p.m. on State Highway 35 near 1220th Street in the town of Oak Grove. A 2019 Jeep Cherokee, operated by Joseph Gambrell, 36, Winona, Minn., was traveling northbound on State Highway 35 and negotiating a curve in the opposite traffic lane. He struck a southbound 2011 Chevrolet Traverse, operated by Jillian Boles, 22, Prescott. Gambrell overturned several time and struck a 2016 Ford F250 towing a utility trailer, operated by Brady Burbank, 23, Cottage Grove, Minn. Gambrell’s vehicle came to rest in the southbound lane, while the other two vehicles were able to pull over to the side of the road safely. Allina Emergency Medical Service transported Gambrell to Regions Hospital in St. Paul with undisclosed injuries. Boles and Burbank reported no injuries. Allina Emergency Medical Service, Prescott Fire Department, and Prescott Police Department assisted Pierce County Sheriff’s Office at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
Deputies responded to a motorcycle crash at 11:22 a.m. Sept. 17 on 300th Avenue at 620th Street in the town of Hartland. A 2006 Harley Davidson, operated by Joseph Mendoza, 42, Rosemount, Minn., was traveling westbound on 300th Avenue when it lost control and left the roadway, entered a grassy area and overturned. Mendoza was ejected from the motorcycle. Ellsworth Area Ambulance Service transported Mendoza to Mayo Hospital in Red Wing, Minn. with undisclosed injuries. Ellsworth Fire also assisted at the scene.
