Landon Jon Alexander, 46, Minneapolis, pleaded not guilty and posted a $10,000 signature bond Feb. 18 on operate without valid license (second within three years) and three misdemeanor bail jumping charges. A status conference is set for 2 p.m. March 18.

Brandon Cooper Backhaus, 44, River Falls, pleaded not guilty and posted a $10,000 signature bond Feb. 18 on a disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) charge. A status conference is scheduled for 10:15 a.m. March 25.

Daniel T. Brock, 33, Red Wing, Minn., posted a $2,500 signature bond Feb. 14 on felony possession of narcotic drugs, OWI-second and possession of cocaine/coca charges. A status conference is slated for 2 p.m. March 17.

Landon Wade Gilbertson, 25, Ellsworth, pleaded not guilty and posted a $100 signature bond Feb. 12 on misdemeanor bail jumping and disorderly conduct charges. A plea/sentencing hearing is set for 3 p.m. April 9.

Leo Prestin Grotto, 30, Ellsworth, pleaded not guilty and posted a $2,500 signature bond Feb. 11 on misdemeanor bail jumping and ignition interlock device tampering/failure to install/violate court order charges. A status conference is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. April 8.

Heidi Marie Kamrath-Johnson, 54, Prescott, pleaded not guilty and posted a $2,500 signature bond Feb. 18 on resisting or obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) charges. A status conference is slated for 10 a.m. March 25.

Jean Michele Kelm, 58, Fridley, Minn., posted a $15,000 signature bond Feb. 13 on felony possess with intent methamphetamine/amphetamine (second or subsequent offense) and possess drug paraphernalia charges. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 11 a.m. March 3.

Alexiss Kay Peterson, 27, Elk Mound, pleaded not guilty and posted a $10,000 signature bond Feb. 18 on misdemeanor bail jumping and possession of THC charges. A status conference is set for 11:30 a.m. March 18.

James Douglas Relander, 24, River Falls, posted a $10,000 signature bond Feb. 11 on felony take and drive vehicle without consent (repeater), felony aggravated battery – intend bodily harm (repeater, domestic abuse – infliction of physical pain or injury) and disorderly conduct (repeater, domestic abuse – infliction of physical pain or injury) charges. A status conference is slated for 1:45 p.m. March 17.

Jordan Timothy Swenson, 22, Cottage Grove, Minn., was ordered to pay $10,000 cash bond Feb. 18 on felony strangulation and suffocation (repeater, domestic abuse), misdemeanor bail jumping (repeater, domestic abuse), battery (domestic abuse, repeater), neglecting a child (specified harm did not occur, repeater), disorderly conduct (repeater, domestic abuse), contact after domestic abuse arrest (repeater) and misdemeanor bail jumping (repeater, domestic abuse, domestic abuse assessments) charges. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Feb. 25.

Deferred cases

Isaac Paul Johanson, 19, River Falls, pleaded no contest to and entered into a deferred judgment of conviction agreement on a contribute/delinquency child charge Feb. 11. The charge stemmed from a Sept. 8 incident.

Jessie Lee Kittelson, 21, Bay City, pleaded guilty to and entered into a deferred judgment of conviction agreement on a battery charge Feb. 13. The charge resulted from a June 21 incident.

Shelly Kay Marklevits, 57, Red Wing, Minn., pleaded guilty to and entered into a deferred judgment of conviction agreement on an operating while revoked (alcohol related) charge Feb. 11. The charge stemmed from an Aug. 13 incident.

Miranda Elizabeth McCoy, 26, Elmwood, pleaded guilty to and entered into a deferred judgment of conviction agreement on battery (domestic abuse) and misdemeanor bail jumping charges Feb. 12. Criminal damage to property, battery (domestic abuse) and two disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) charges dismissed. The charges resulted from incidents Nov. 25 and Dec. 8.

Seamus Patrick Monahan, 19, River Falls, pleaded guilty to and entered into a deferred judgment of conviction agreement Feb. 11 on a battery charge. A disorderly conduct charge was dismissed. The charges stemmed from an Oct. 24 incident.

Justyn Ferris Oakgrove, 23, Minneapolis, pleaded guilty to and entered into a deferred judgment of conviction agreement Feb. 11 on a disorderly conduct charge. A battery charge was dismissed. The charges resulted from a Dec. 4 incident.

Closed cases

Michael Donovan Dukart, 35, River Falls, was convicted of disorderly conduct and fined $443 Feb. 13. The charge stemmed from a May 12 incident.

Dimitri Robert Elliott, 25, Hammond, was convicted of OWI-second Feb. 11, sentenced to one year’s probation and five days in jail, fined $1,688 and ordered to install an ignition interlock device after a 16-month driver’s license revocation. Operating with PAC-second and misdemeanor bail jumping charges were dismissed. The charges resulted from a July 5 incident.

Maria Evelyn Ingersoll, 30, New Richmond, was convicted of computer message – threaten/obscenity, criminal damage to property and violate/harassment restraining order – temporary restraining order Feb. 13, sentenced to one year’s probation and fined $801. Violate/harassment restraining order – injunction and disorderly conduct charges were dismissed. The charges stemmed from incidents Aug. 11, Aug. 22 and Aug. 23.

OWI-second and operate with restricted controlled substance (second) charges against Jeanette Deltrese Lee Kolpien, 26, Fond du Lac, were dismissed Feb. 12. The charges resulted from a June 8, 2022 incident.

Jessica Suzanne Robertson, 42, Roseville, Minn., was convicted of OWI-second (with passenger under 16 years old) Feb. 18, sentenced to 20 days in jail, fined $2,247, and ordered to undergo an alcohol assessment and to install an ignition interlock device after a 26-month driver’s license revocation. Operating with PAC-second (passenger under 16) and operating while revoked (alcohol related) charges were dismissed. The charges stemmed from a June 22 incident.

Ashley Jean Sirois, 40, River Falls, was convicted of operate without carrying license and fined $277.80 Feb. 13. The charge resulted from an Aug. 15 incident.

David Wayne Tanner, 39, Eau Claire, was convicted of a felony sex registry violation Feb. 11, sentenced to one year in jail (93 credits) and fined $518. Felony bail jumping and possess drug paraphernalia charges against Tanner were read in but dismissed. The charges stemmed from an Oct. 24, 2023 incident.

Matthew Albert Theye, 40, Rochester, Minn., was convicted of possess marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia Feb. 18 and fined $555.60. The charges resulted from an Oct. 26 incident.

A felony substantial battery – intend bodily harm charge against Noah Joseph Ventura, 22, Hastings, Minn., was dismissed Feb. 12 upon completion of a deferred judgment of conviction agreement. The charge stemmed from an Aug. 12, 2023 incident.

A felony maintain drug trafficking place (conspiracy to commit) charge against Alysa G. Vieillieux, 29, River Falls, was dismissed Feb. 18 upon completion with a deferred judgment of conviction agreement. The charge resulted from an Oct. 1, 2019 incident.

Felony bail jumping (repeater), criminal damage to property (repeater), disorderly conduct (domestic abuse, repeater) and possess drug paraphernalia (repeater) charges were dismissed. The charges stemmed from a Dec. 4 incident.

Joseph Patrick Weldon, 42, Beldenville, was convicted of operate without carrying license and fined $277.80 Feb. 11. The charge resulted from an Aug. 5, 2023 incident.
