Pierce County Circuit Court: July 9, 2025

Initial appearances

Lakeisha Lyshonn Christopher, 39, River Falls, pleaded not guilty and posted a $1,500 signature bond June 25 on a disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) charge. A status conference is set for 1:45 p.m. July 8.

Erick Brett Hoff, 53, Ellsworth, pleaded not guilty and posted a $1,000 signature bond on a disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) charge June 25. He pleaded not guilty and posted a $3,000 signature bond on contact after domestic abuse arrest (domestic abuse repeater during 72-hour no contact period) and misdemeanor bail jumping charges June 27. A status conference is slated for 10:15 a.m. July 24.

Eric Carson Schultz, 33, Menomonie, was ordered to pay $2,000 cash bond June 27 on felony OWI-fifth/sixth, operating while revoked (alcohol related) and five felony bail jumping charges. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. July 24.

Closed cases

Jordan Isaiah Battin, 28, Prescott, was convicted of domestic disorderly conduct Dec. 10 and sentenced to one year’s probation. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail (89 days credit) June 30 at a probation revocation sentencing hearing. The charge stemmed from a Sept. 27 incident.

Wyatt James Blomberg, 20, Ellsworth, was found not guilty at a jury trial June 27 of felony second degree sexual assault/use of force. A felony second degree sexual assault of child charge was dismissed. The charges resulted from a March 1, 2019 incident.

Lillian Jean O’Brien, 20, Ellsworth, was convicted of possession of THC and possess drug paraphernalia June 30 upon revocation of a deferred judgment of conviction agreement, sentenced to one year’s probation and fined $886. The charges stemmed from a May 1, 2024 incident.

Misdemeanor bail jumping, criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) charges against Amanda Christine Warfel, 41, Osceola, were dismissed July 1 due to a plea in a Dunn County case. The charges resulted from a Jan. 21, 2023 incident.

Michael John Weiss, 34, Durand, was convicted of battery (domestic abuse) and disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) June 30, sentenced to two years of probation, fined $1,086 and ordered to undergo an alcohol assessment and domestic violence programming. Felony strangulation and suffocation (domestic abuse) and misdemeanor bail jumping charges were dismissed. The charges stemmed from a Nov. 8, 2024.

Mai Va Yang, 32, St. Paul, was convicted of neglecting a child (specified harm did not occur) June 30, sentenced to one year’s probation and fined $443. A neglecting a child (specified harm did not occur) charge was read in but dismissed. Felony bail jumping and two misdemeanor bail jumping charges were dismissed. The charges resulted from incidents Nov. 5, 2023 and Dec. 1, 2023.

Deferred cases

Matthew Mark Brummer, 37, Ellsworth, pleaded no contest to and entered into a deferred judgment of conviction agreement on a battery (domestic abuse) and disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) charges June 30. A felony false imprisonment (domestic abuse) charge was dismissed. The charges stemmed from a March 10 incident.

Mai Va Yang, 32, St. Paul, pleaded no contest to and entered into a deferred judgment of conviction agreement on a felony second-degree recklessly endangering safety charge June 30. He was convicted of OWI (second with passenger < 16, with minor child in the vehicle), sentenced to 10 days of jail, fined $1,970 and ordered to undergo an alcohol evaluation and install an ignition interlock device after a two-year driver’s license revocation. Misdemeanor bail jumping, resisting or obstructing an officer, operating with PAC – passenger < 16 (with minor child in the vehicle) and two neglecting a child (specified harm did not occur) charges were dismissed. The charges resulted from a Nov. 12, 2023 incident.
