Initial appearances

Luis Abelardo Chalan-Seraquive, 28, River Falls, pleaded not guilty and posted a $500 signature bond March 17 on an operating while revoked (alcohol related) charge. A status conference is set for 10:30 a.m. Aug. 13.

A bench warrant was issued for the arrest of Dominic Elliot Davis, 21, Plymouth, Minn., who missed a March 17 initial appearance on a possession of a controlled substance (as party to a crime) charge.

Joseph Victor Hove, 21, Norway, Mich., pleaded not guilty and posted a $5,000 signature bond March 17 on OWI-second, operating with PAC-second and ignition interlock device tampering/failure to install/violate court order charges. A status conference is slated for 10 a.m. April 22.

A bench warrant was issued for the arrest of Jamie Renee Huppert, 43, Ellsworth, who missed a March 17 initial appearance on a resisting or obstructing an officer charge.

A bench warrant was issued for the arrest of Jadah Marie Koethe, 18, Wyoming, Minn., who missed a March 17 initial appearance on a possession of a controlled substance (as party to a crime) charge. A new initial appearance is scheduled for 3 p.m. March 26.

Kayla Beth Kolasinski, 35, River Falls, pleaded not guilty and posted a $500 signature bond March 17 on an operating after revocation (alcohol related) charge. She was convicted of operate without carrying a license March 19 and fined $277.80.

Brian Keith Lambert, 53, River Falls, was ordered to pay $50,000 cash bond March 14 on five felony possession of child pornography (lifetime supervision of serious sex offenders) charges. An arraignment is slated for 2:15 p.m. April 14.

Joshua Jason Reeverts, 28, Beldenville, posted a $25,000 signature bond March 13 on felony bail jumping, felony possession of narcotic drugs, felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of THC, possess drug paraphernalia and operating while revoked (alcohol related) charges. A status conference is set for 11 a.m. April 3.

Anita Guicell Sanmartin Coronel, 26, Hudson, pleaded not guilty and posted a $250 signature bond March 17 on an operate without valid license (second within three years) charge. A status conference is set for 10 a.m. Aug. 13.

Cory Duane Stemmann, 50, Red Wing, Minn., posted a $10,000 signature bond March 17 on two felony bail jumping and two violate/harassment restraining order – injunction charges. A status conference is scheduled for 1:45 p.m. May 5.

Barton Ralston Wolford, 49, Red Wing, Minn., posted a $10,000 signature bond March 17 on felony substantial battery – intend bodily harm (repeater), possession of THC (repeater) and possess drug paraphernalia (repeater) charges. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. March 27.

Shawn Scott Wolfsteller, 37, River Falls, pleaded not guilty and posted a $2,500 signature bond March 14 on a disorderly conduct charge. A status conference is slated for 11 a.m. April 15.

Closed cases

Cody Neil Clemmens, 47, Elmwood, was convicted of operating while revoked (fourth+) March 17, sentenced to one year’s probation, ordered to have no contact with the Half Throttle Saloon and attend a victim empathy seminar, fined $443 and ordered to pay $442.42 in restitution (with a 10% surcharge). An ignition interlock device tampering/failure to install/violate court order charge was dismissed. The charges stemmed from an Oct. 21 incident.

A neglecting a child (specified harm did not occur) charge against Karen D. Duthey, 56, River Falls, was dismissed March 14 upon completion of a deferred judgment of conviction agreement. The charge resulted from a May 27, 2023 incident.

Alejandro Medina, 32, Cottage Grove, Minn., was convicted of operate without carrying a license and fined $277.80 March 13. The charge stemmed from a June 27 incident.

A felony second-degree recklessly endangering safety charge against Beau Allen Merriman, was dismissed March 13 upon completion of a deferred judgment of conviction agreement. The charge resulted from a March 14, 2021 incident.

Tanya J. Veal, 43, Rochester, Minn., was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia and fined $277.80 March 13. The charge stemmed from an April 9 incident.
